Probiotics Boost Your Immune System

Sponsored by: Ultimate Flora   Hosted by Powered by Mom Blog and a great group of bloggers

What is a probiotic? Probiotics are the healthy cultures or “friendly bacteria” inside of us that help us digest and synthesize nutrients, protect us from toxins, and fortify our natural defenses. High potency probiotics boost your immune system and help you more effectively fight off colds, flus and more!

You may be asking yourself why take a probiotic supplement? Well let me tell you as I can't stress enough how much I believe what a positive difference that a high potency probiotic makes to your overall health and boosting your immune system! We have been taking probiotics for a few years now and we have seen an amazing difference! We also try to eat healthy and take some other natural supplements and as a result my daughter and I have been sick far less than we have in previous years. To give you an example my daughter from Kindergarten to grade four used to miss an average of 20 days from colds and more. The last two years when we made the changes which included incorporating probiotics she's only been sick a maximum of five days in an entire year not just the school year!

Probiotics Boost Your Immune System

I myself have compromised immune system due to my rheumatoid arthritis so between my daughter's previous constant illnesses and my own susceptibility I had started to do as much research as I could and probiotics was one of the things that came up for boosting your immune system. I love the Ultimate Flora products because they have a variety of what you need in easy to swallow capsules. We received a variety of probitics from them as you can see below. There's one specifically for children, one with fiber because as we know most of us don't get enough fiber, general overall health and there's one for us ladies who may have some challenges with yeast infection. Probiotics can help with so many things! Their products are top quality and we are happy to have Ultimate Flora as part of our healthy routine.

  1. I take the vitamins that my doctor has prescribed, make sure that my family and I are keeping up good hygiene habits, and have recently begun to cut back on the fast food/junk food we tend to eat, well all the time, to be honest! Oh, plenty of outside sunshine, fresh air time is also an important part to our wellbeing.

  2. Honestly, I don't really try. I just seem to naturally have a pretty good immune system. I rarely get sick beyond a mild cold in the winter. But I have really been wanting to try probiotics, not just for me but for my daughter. She's only been sick once in her 2 years and that was just a cold, but I'd still like to help ensure better protection for her.

  4. In our family we try to avoid GMO processed food, eat more fruits and veggies, take vitamins and fish oil. More Natural approach to be healthy just like the old days!

  6. Not sure which to try. My mother swears probiotics keeps her from not getting sick when others are. I'm trying to win for her and they are expensive but this brand is new to us.

  7. I take a multi vitamin every day, and have salad for breakfast (I don't like breakfast foods in the morning) almost every day.

  8. I recently read an article in Scientific American about the important roles our gut flora plays. While it is not yet main stream medicine, I think that probiotics and other treatments for a healthy digestive tract will be among the first therapies for several illnesses.
