We find the best thing for burns is Aloe Vera we grow plants great to always have in the house 🙂
I realized after I posted my last comment that I forgot to say whether it works well for us. It alleviates the initial pain and prevents the burn from being as bad later as it otherwise would; however, it does continue to hurt later.

Triple antibiotic for cuts and Aloe Vera for burns!
For a burn, I run it under cool water. Then Polysporin. It works alright, but doesn't always heal quickly. And sometimes, it leaves a scar.
I grow Aloe Vera plants and cut them open and use the pulp on sunburns. You have to keep reapplying it but it works very well, if it isn't a bad sunburn, it will disappear. For cooking burns, I use an old Chinese cure, first rinse the burn with cold water and then take a raw egg yolk and break it and gently pour the yolk over the burn area, do this over a sink. You may need to use more than one yolk, let the yolk build up on the burn area and when you have it coated, let it
dry caked-up on it. Later, rinse it off and in most cases, the burn will be gone. I have used this many times. For serious burns,of course, you must seek medical care and don't forget to keep your tetanus shot up to date.
I used to use Neosporin, but lately I've been trying essential oils
We normally run water over it and ice it (if it is really bad). For cuts, I put antiseptic on it; but, with burns, I use aloe.
