Powered by Mom brings you a Customized Action Figure Giveaway ends 5/18 US Only

Watch two of the creators of these fun customized action figures pitch their idea on Shark Tank on May 8, 2015!

I'm sure it will come as no surprise that here on Powered by Mom we think that a personalized action figure with our own heroes "head" on it is super cool. Obviously we think moms (and yes dads too) are heroes to their children, their community and whatever they put their mind to. There are so many heroes out there just helping people out and we each have our own hero for whatever reason, no matter what they are people we respect and love.

I think these personalized action figures would make for one cool gift no matter who your hero is so whether it's your daughter, son, uncle, cousin or teacher just to name a few you can them one of these awesome personalized action figures. They've got ones for both adult and kids so there is something for every hero in your life!

How does it work?

They create original hero action figures using 3D printing technology. 3D models used to take a lot of pictures and a lot of time to make, but they let you do it with just one photo, making it possible to surprise your friends or your entire family with it as a gift. Heroes are personalized by you; from custom powers to selecting one-of-a-kind hero names, you have the creative freedom to make something truly unique.

  2. My mom is my hero. She has always helped all her kids, as well as my grandmother, aunts and cousins! If there is anyone in need ...she is there ready to help! I was very sick as a child and still have serious medical problems and she helps me daily..physically to emotionally. I don't know where I would be without her love, guidance and support!

  3. My hero would have to be my mom as well! She had me & my twin at age 40, her other kids were pretty much grown, & when we was 6 years old, my dad died. She had to be mom & dad & work & faith is just amazing! I hope to be a truly good person like her everyday 🙂

  5. My hero is my husband, He has done everything for me since I was diagnosed with MS, Gastroparesis and all the problems that come with them. When I'm down he perks me up, and does little surprises to help too. He's my partner, friend, caretaker and I love him with all my heart.

  6. My daughter is my hero...I'm always amazed at how forgiving she is when others do wrong by her, her cheerful daily attitude and her easy going ways...Lover her to pieces! I really need to get one of these for her since she's really into super heroes herself...she actually attends all the CONS she can (and yes, she dresses up for them!)

  8. My hero is my oldest son. After 9/11 he signed up for the Army as soon as he could. He spent 15 months in Iraq defending this country so that we could all sleep better. When he came back, he was broken from what he saw and the things that he had to do. He had severe PTSD and after struggling for 4 years he lost his fight on Jan 2, 2011. Now I'm broken, but he will always be my hero and I will always be so proud of him.

  11. Honestly I'm my own superhero bc I've overcome so much in my lifetime. I practically raised myself, I've saved lives (I'm a nurse), I've delivered a baby bc I just happened to be in the right place at the right time, I raised 3 amazing children (2 are my own & one is my baby sister who's now 21 & a cop in the NYPD), I work hard, I play hard, (I relax even harder!) & I never stop learning & growing as a person. I'm my own support system & I'm my biggest fan bc if I don't love myself then how can other people love me? I'm a strong, smart, funny, independent, beautiful woman! Alas, if I win this will be a gift for my husband bc he's a big geek that collects action figures & I know he'd really get a kick out of this!

  12. Wow, that's a tough one. I guess I'd go with someone like Mother Teresa, who really gave herself to helping mankind. (Now, my favorite Superhero was always Batman. I liked that he started as a normal guy who didn't really have powers.)

  15. I have a few people that are my heros but my 17 year old daughter is one. She was in a bad accident March 6th, 2014. She was in a coma on life support for 10 days. Her recovery has been miraculous! She has faced it all with a great attitude, her agressive personality and the fact that she just doesn't complain has served her well. She didn't get a summer last year, it was spent at therapy, doctor's appointments and catching up at school. And yet she did what needed to be done. I'm so proud of her!

  16. My husband & my one daughter!! My husband, because he is my best friend, my biggest supporter & now my caretaker!! My daughter, because she stuck by her husband since high school. He was found badly beaten when their 3rd child was 4 months old. He was in a coma for a year & he never regained consciousness - he basically shriveled up & died at 28 years old. He died over 4 years ago. She went back to school & is working & raising 3 kids alone. She loves God and is a good Christian. Leaving her life in HIS capable hands!!!

  17. My grandma was my hero. Even though she was pulled out of school in the 3rd grade to go to work, she was super smart. She self taught herself everything. She raised her younger siblings as well as her own children and then my brother and me. The woman was selfless and strong and loving. I miss her.
