  1. My favorite Valentine's Day was about 5 years ago, I went to my sister's place and we cooked a really nice meal. Valentine's was also her birthday. Now it's kind of hard, because she's gone now, passed away 3 years ago from lupus.

  2. The year my boyfriend and I went to Atlantic City for Valentine's weekend. Just the 2 of us enjoying each other's company and letting the one armed bandits give us a run for our money.

  3. My best memory is when I was in the 2nd grade, my Dad took me to a nice local bakery & bought a big box of heart shaped red sugar cookies....he then dropped me off at school, handed me the box of cookies & said to enjoy them with everyone in my class!! I was so very surprised, as it was all his idea and that really meant alot to me....sad thing is, tomorrow, 2/3/14 marks 2 years since he passed away...

  4. as a single mom I would always buy special valentine treats for my children and tell them that they could have one "date of their choice" with me and would take each of them out for a night of fun with just the two of us

  5. My husband gave me this GIANT Valentines Card and I do mean GIANT. He left it at the door like I had an admire, however I reconised his writing.

  6. Valentine's Day is not a day I focus on for my relationship (prefer days special to us as a couple), so will go all the way back to my childhood days. Still remember first grade exchanging cards and conversation hearts with my classmates, and getting special cookies and little boxes of chocolate from my parents and grandparents.

  7. Never really had a special Valentines day. The hubby and myself usually go out to dinner. Guess we are getting to old...lol We just don't see spending the money on things like that. We have grandkids and all our extra goes to them,,(we spoil them) lol

  9. I enjoyed when my husband surprised me and gave me a whole day to myself and entertained the kiddos. It was such a nice day and I got to get a massage and pedicure.

  10. One valentines day, we had all forgotten about it! Hubby and I were helping some friends get ready to open their business (painting, setting up). At the end of the day, we were hungry, so the 5 of us went to our favorite local Italian/pizza place.
They had couple's deals going on and door prizes.
I won a gold and diamond ring! I told everyone it was because I had 2 dates (my hubby and our friend).

  11. Valentine's Day 2010 was my favorite! I got married the day before and my new husband surprised with me with a mini honeymoon. We spent the day attending wine tastings and walking around a historic German town that had lots of shopping!

  12. All of my best holidays are ones spent with my kids and grandkids. Two years ago I was helping my daughter-in-law recover from surgery so was staying with them for most of February. Definitely the best one ever.
