Powered by Mom Blog's daughter reviewed some toys from Melissa and Doug!

We're also going to share the giveaway we're a part of for a $150 Gift Card to Melissa and Doug!

melissa and doug pom

Even though we have two dogs of our own my 11 year old daughter selected the Pomeranian stuffie picture above. It's a nice size, about the same size as a small Pomerania, I've seen ones bigger but I know this stuffie is bigger than our real chihuahua Little Zeus :). The first thing my daughter said how cute it was but it needed to be brushed. It's "fur" was not as neat and straight as the picture above but that's okay it made it look even more like a real pom!

This Pomeranian seems to find it's way around the house as I've seen it in our living room, family room and as I write this review he (I think can't remember what my daughter name him) is sitting on my desk watching me work lol. It is quite cute, I like the Beagle one as well from Melissa and Doug.

melissa and doug rainbow scratch art

For more fun we also selected from their site some scratch art boards in rainbow holographic! These are a ton of fun and I can't believe we hadn't seen these before! You start drawing with a pen or pencil on the black or white paper depending on which one you get and the picture comes to life in rainbow glitter! They also have it in silver or pink glitter and they normally have it in white scratchboard too. I say normally because I went to go order some and see it's sold out as it's so popular and quite reasonably priced too!

Here's a picture of my daughter with her Pomeranian and Scratch Art masterpiece 🙂

  5. I really love the hallographic scratch boards. We used to have a large one for my youngest but did not save for the grandkids. That is one toy we would buy again for this generation. I like that when you have kids and you find a product or toy that is awesome you can find those old favorites still!

We have sadly had to give up on most stuffies around here. Too many allergies with kids but that lil' Pom is too cute! My youngest would love as she wants a PomChi someday!

  6. All my children and now grand kids love scratch art boards. I like them because they don't create a big mess and the kids can take them with them in the car. If I get stuck in traffic or have to sit and wait in a doctors office - the kids have something creative and quiet to do. It is funny how my kids used to start drawing and within minutes someone would be watching or helping them with a picture. thank you

  10. I used to make my own scratch art. I would cover a sheet of paper in different colored crayon, then color with black crayon on top. When you scratch through the black crayon the colors would show!

  19. Your creativity is as bright as your humour..ie..little zeus. I like that you showed the used scratch board, they remindme somewhat of etch a sketch. I wonder if they are reusable in anyway?. I liked seeing the pom, I have used melissa and doug puppets before and they were fantastic, so it doesn't surprise me that their stuffies are sweet too. Thanks for the review and contest opportunity.

  20. I used to love scratch art, I will have to buy some of that. M&D toys are high quality in general. The puzzle box is great. My little one likes to take the puzzles in and out, a bonus activity! I also love the tool kit, boys and girls like this for a long time, they can do whatever with the tools, they are not restricted to the toy space.

  25. My grandson has practically only M&D toys - they are the best quality, minimal plastic, sturdy and fun/educational. What else could you want for a toy? Also, didn't know that they had these sweet little ones, too - I want one for myself!
