Before I tell you about the rope sandals, and in case you haven't heard of them, let me introduce you to them!

About Nomadic State of Mind

Their apparel line uses organic cotton and recycled fabrics and the prints are inspired by Chris’ travel and photography over the years. The business is built from the heart and that’s apparent in the structure of the company as well. The company began it’s roots setting up sandal shops at outdoor music festivals throughout the country, and though the team and the company have grown, festivals are still a favorite activity for Chris and the crew and that’s where he can be found through much of the summer. Nomadic State of Mind is a growing team, and continues to design and build superb quality, affordably priced rope art sandals to market Made from real hands for real feet.

Toe Joe Rope Sandal in Camel

I believe the Toe Joe Rope Sandal is my favorite pair! These sandals are made from super soft rope, with an adjustable back strap and big toe loop that keeps the foot securely locked in. It's perfect for me to wear around town and for playing in the yard with the dogs! They are so comfy they feel like you are barefoot!

Toe Joe Rope Sandal bottom

The bottom of the Toe Joe Rope Sandal is made with the same rope as the upper. To me, this gives it a unique softness when walking. It protects your feet, but without the added weight of a sole.

San Juan WITH SOLE in Camel

I have also been enjoying a pair of San Juan Sandals with a Sole. I love these equally as much! The San Juan's feature a vibram super flex sole. They are the same light weight sandal, same great feel, just with an added sole.

San Juan WITH SOLE bottom

The San Juan sandals are non-slip and non-marking, making them the perfect all-around sandal! They go great with short, capris, jeans, a fun flowing sundress, etc.!

If you love sandals, you have to try a pair of Nomadic State of Mind Handmade Rope Sandals! Visit Nomadic State of Mind online to see all the wonderful styles for both women and men. I promise you will love them!  *NOTE: These run a little small, so I would order a half-size or size up - you want them to be nice and roomy to be comfy 🙂

  1. The little piece that rubs your toe on thongs usually bothers me but with these, I bet they don't. I have not seen these but hope they gain in popularity. They are much nicer than my Crocs!

  2. I have never heard of Nomadic sandals. They look comfy but I would worry the rope between the toes would rub.

  3. I am a barefoot person all year round, so this sandals look the closest and most comfortable for the months that I can get away with being almost barefoot. LOVE all of them

  4. These look super comfortable! The San Juan especially look great! I'm not crazy about the big toe loop on the Toe Joe, and I would prefer the non-slip sole of the San Juan! These sandals are different than any others I've ever seen!

  25. I had a pair of rope sandals about 10 years ago that I loved.... except they had no sole and my feet got wet in rain or dew. Would love to have a pair with the sole.
