Powered by Mom’s Review

I was beyond excited to receive the Oransi Finn Hepa UV Air Purifier as I’m the only one here lucky enough to suffer from allergies to dust, pollen and a few other things. I haven’t had an air purifier in years and I had been thinking about getting one as I had found in the past they did help. Well when I heard about the the Oransi Finn air purifier I knew I had to have this one as not only does removes 100% of common allergens such as dust, pollen, mold and bacteria but it also has a UV light that kills 99% of the germs that cause the flu! Can we say WOWZA!

sodastream3

With flu season in full swing and my daughter in school where let’s face it schools are the playgrounds for germs and viruses and my husband works from job site to job site we have always been prime candidates for getting the flu. I’m constantly trying to make sure my family eats well nutritionally, takes vitamins etc.. to help build their immune systems but you can only do so much. Well actually now we can do more with our flu busting Oransi Finn air purifier!

When the unit arrived I immediately set it up (not much to it, took only a minute) I put it in my office as I was the only one at home and since my work day is spent in my home office I thought that was the perfect place! My allergies have been acting up most likely due to the dust coming from the furnace so I can’t tell you how happy I was to have an air purifier. My husband thinks I must be imagining it but I notice any time I’ve been in a room that has an air purifier the air is crisp and not stale it makes a difference the air doesn’t “smell”.

Here you can see the display when the back light is on, showing that the fan is on low, the UV light is on.

oransi air purifier2

This unit is sleek and light so that it’s easy to move around if need be and as it turned out I would need to be able to move it from room to room. My daughter came home that day from school  sick. Fortunately she did not have the flu and I really think the air purifier helped as she was so much better after only a few days, no coughing etc.. It certainly didn’t hurt to have our new air purifier here as I moved it from our living room when my daughter was in there to her bedroom at night. Now that she is all better it goes from my office to our upstairs living room at night near our bedrooms. When the fan is on low you don’t even notice it, it’s so quiet I forget it’s there when I’m working in my office. I can hear the hum of my computer but not the air purifier which is only a foot away from me as I write this review :)

Overall the Oransi Finn UV Air Purifier gets an A++ from Powered by Mom for design, effectiveness, cleaning our air and it’s flu-busting features we love it!

The carpet seems to have years of dust in it, or the people that lived here before put bunches of deodorizing powder in the carpet (since they had cats) and along with the risk of toxoplasmosis since there were cats here, I don’t even know what I’m breathing in! I guess they never vacuumed, because I have already filled 2 vacuum bags with dust and cat fur, and I’ve vacuumed about 12 times.Pretty sad that it’s so hard to get a decent apartment in Los Angeles, even though I’m paying over $1000 in rent for a small 1 bedroom apt. So frustrating, but I already signed a 6 month lease! :( It would be nice to win this so I can breathe better, stop coughing, stop my runny nose and burning eyes (which all started when I moved here :(

As much as I would like this for my 495 sq ft apt (so no matter where I put it it’d probably get the whole apt taken care of lol!) I REALLY hope to win actually to give this to my 25 yr old son Jesse for his house because he has SEVERE disabling asthma since he was only 17 mos old, he has to use a nebulizer breathing machine numerous times a day and has been hospitalized countless times. Also he has severe allergies (some of the food ones are even potentially fatal) but he has severe airborn allergies too. Because of these issues, when Jesse gets ill, it aggravates his asthma and he ends up much sicker than the average person. So this Air purifier could seriously improve his quality of health and life! I have always wished I could afford to buy him one so winning him one would be a GODSEND and an answer to a prayer!
