Welcome to Powered by Mom's PlayMG Mobile Entertainment System Holiday 40K Fanbration!

PlayMG

Sponsored by: PlayMG  Hosted by: Powered by Mom Blog & a fantastic group of bloggers

Powered by Mom Blog has hit a milestone thanks to you all the wonderful fans out there! We have hit 40K fans on Facebook! So to celebrate the holidays and this milestone we partnered with PlayMG to bring you this amazing giveaway!

The PlayMG is also featured on our Holiday Gift Guide. You can check it out and all our other gift guide items HERE

The PlayMG is the The Non-Smartphone, Smartphone. It's one cool pocketable all-in-one entertainment system specifically designed for young people who do not have a smartphone. With no monthly charges or expensive cartridge games to buy, PlayMG enables you to enter the world of portable “freemium” apps via the Google Play platform. With PlayMG, young people get their own smart-device and parents get their smartphones back!

The PlayMG  can be purchased at shop.playmg.com and select Target stores, Amazon, and Toys R Us online. Olivia Holt and Kyrie Irving make interesting news as they are owners and celebs! You can also purchase cases and cute lanyards for the PlayMG on Amazon and they are very reasonably priced!

We received the PlayMG Mobile Android Entertainment System Bundle with Charger - 24GB Storage and it really is amazing. With my 12 year old daughter she is constantly stealing my smartphone or her dad's smartphone. It's a lot of where's our phone kiddo in this house as she likes to play the games on them, watch you-tube videos and more. She never uses them to phone anyone so the PlayMG is perfect for this tween!

playmg package

This bundle came with everything you need to get your tween or teen started, lots of memory 24GB, charger and more. The only thing I went out and bought was a case for it which is only $14.99 on Amazon. I'm getting the nice blue one for my daughter as she loves that color!

Now one of the many features that I like about the PlayMG is the family collaboration app. This is perfect for parents, we entered our email address and it will send us weekly updates as to what our daughter is doing on her PlayMG. While we may all trust our children it doesn't hurt to have safety precautions in place especially if the kids don't recognize a potential danger it's our jobs as parents to protect them so I LOVE this feature and it only took a minute to set it up.

Almost everything we did only took a few minutes. We didn't set up everything as PlayMG says you should let your tween/teen do it as that's half the fun for them! My daughter's eyes nearly came out of their sockets when she saw the PlayMG. She thinks it's the coolest thing ever and she's already been busy with it setting up her email, downloading texting apps, uploading music and a ton of other free apps especially the games!

Next step is to buy our $10 for the Mastercard Debit Card and get another $10 FREE now I like that and the whole concept of the debit card where I can limit how much she spends, that is as perfect as it gets!

This is one amazing system that has won the 2013 Family Choice Award and it's a user friendly mobile device that gives tweens and teens a ton of apps, a lot of them free to play with. They can text, email, upload videos and pretty much everything else you can do with a smartphone with the exception of no phone calls. Then again don't most kids text anyways so I don't think they will miss it!

A few more features of the PlayMG

  • An Ultra-Sleek 4-Inch Touch-Screen That Fits In Your Pocket
  • WiFi access to Google Play with an endless amount of apps, games, music, movies, TV Shows, books and much much more! Total access to the Internet. Does not require an expensive monthly data plan!
  • Included with every PlayMG is an optional dedicated SpendSmart™ Prepaid MasterCard that helps manage app spending. Get $10 free when you sign up and add at least $10. Manage your app spending through a real-time balance on your home screen!
  • Young people get to enjoy unlimited apps and parents get “trust but verify” through weekly email usage reports. Can't overspend on parent's account/credit card.

  1. This would be perfect for my 10 year old niece. She's always swiping smart phones or taking over the computer to play online games. This would certainly take the fear out of opening the monthly cellphone statement for my sister.

  2. I don't have a tween but I would give it to my cousin. She loves playing games and this is a much better way to play than on your smartphone! Its a great idea.

Also the intrinsic details about the device itself, the pieces that come with it, the set up, which is comparable to any other handheld device a child has worked before..it makes the whole process seem so not overwhelming!! My kids would get so much out of this!! Thank you again very much for the great descriptions, & the opportunity.

  17. I was impressed by all of the features especially the one where you get an e-mail so you know who, what, when, where and how much they spent on the internet. I'm guessing by all of the comments I am not the only victim of kids wanting their parents cell phone. It also would keep me from having to make all of those in-app purchases for the games. This way I have better control about everything my son would be doing on-line, This would also end him bugging me about buying him a real phone.
