Realistic Looking Dolls Help Boost Confidence in Young Girls

So, let's talk for a minute about the pressure children and young girls are under for being "PERFECT". It's all around them... movies, internet, television... the list goes on. Looking back at myself being young, dolls and barbies were my FAVORITE thing to play with. I could play all day, for hours with them... just ingrossed in my imagination! That's been over 20 years ago, (give me a second, I just had a "I'm getting old moment" HA!) and even back then, I remember wishing I could look like barbie. Everything about her was beautiful and I wanted to be that!

Fast forward to now, I can't imagine the stress young girls feel today. The last thing they need is for the toys and dolls they play with in their own personal time, to be a reminder of what can never achieve... which is perfection. Lottie Dolls have created a line of Realistic Looking Dolls that actually look like children. I for one, couldn't be more thankful to them.

Realistic Looking Dolls

Lottie Dolls are proportioned to that of a 9-year-old child. Brillant! That's what children need... they need to feel secure, safe and beautiful just the way they are. They need to have a fun childhood without their toys making them question whether they're good enough or not. These Realistic Looking Dolls were created with the help of, CHILDREN. Lottie Dolls is a great company and I commend them for the work they put into making this beautiful Realistic Looking Dolls.

Final Thoughts!...

We hear the statement, invest in our children futures!?... well sometimes it's the smallest things. It starts when they're young, what they see and hear every day will have an impacted on their life. So, when my children are by their self playing and using their imagination, I feel a lot better knowing my daughter can play with dolls that don't make her feel insecure, but rather, play with dolls that look like her and her friends... knowing its ok to be young and enjoy your childhood!

  1. The Lottie Dolls do look the most real. It is like a HD TV version of a doll. I appreciated reading your great review on these fine masterpieces.

  2. I've never heard of these dolls before and they're wonderful.I've been looking for a nice doll for my grandaughter something other than Barbies. These are what I'll be getting her for Christmas.

  3. I like the idea that the company had children help with the design and style of the dolls, also with young girls now being able to play with a doll that looks more like them than the Barbie type that does send the wrong message to children.

  4. These dolls are not only adorable, they also encourage young girls to follow their dreams. A friend if mine who collects dolls introduced me to them a few months ago.

  5. Oh these dolls are wonderful! Today's society makes these young girls feel unloved, not perfect enough or not good enough. These dolls help to show young girls that they are beautiful and special! I love that!

  6. My granddaughter is protected as she is homeschooled so toys that makes her use her imagination are the best for her and her 4 younger siblings.

  8. I have been trying to win Lottie dolls for awhile now, but I actually didn't know that the company worked that hard to make them look like kids/girls! I know my granddaughter plays with her Barbies and I would hate it if I heard her say anything about wanting to look a certain way. She is 5 years old, and unfortunately I'm sure it is coming. I am so impressed that a company would work this hard to help kids out with their self esteem! In my opinion, we can't do enough in that area! Thank you for this information, I really learned something here. God bless!

  10. I love that these dolls are more realistically proportioned. This is essential in helping young girls feel positive about themselves and not aspiring to have some crazy body or look.

  11. you are SO right...finding the early connections in life do make you feel like you belong, and especially to little ones, to have a "friend" to play with is a big deal. I love the Star Gazer doll. Not only can kids relate their appearance or culture to a doll, but their many interests. (my husband does sometimes help with NASA related contracts so the "space" connection is always bit around here. I'd be getting that doll. LOL>

  17. This is such an awesome brand. I've been following them on a social media for a while. I like how the dolls are diverse, and all with unique themes. They're also very cute and so are their clothes.

  18. I went to the website and I think our girl Emma would love the stargazer doll. Of course, she is just starting to love horses too so the Sirius the Welsh Mountain Pony would be a pick as well. I think the dolls are great in the sense they feature different activities that are not so traditional. Our girl doesn't care for the "dressing up a doll" but loves to have them on adventures. I feel these dolls fit that need much better than other traditional dolls.

  23. It's great that there are different hair colors and skin colors. I think it's so much better than a young girl playing with Barbie.

  24. I like how they look regular and not barbie because she gives some girl a unrealistic view on how a female's body is and bad body image sometimes.

  25. I like that they come with things for different interests, for example the telescope. I also really like that Welsh pony that can be obtained for any of the dolls. Just wondering are there free patterns on line to make them extra clothes if you're a person who likes to sew and make something individual and not store bought for this doll size? For example making an item out of the same material for the Lottie doll as something you've made your special little girl to wear, so they can match on special occasions.

  27. I love these dolls. I love that creating them was inspired by children. I know many children that don't even like Barbie dolls, but love Lottie dolls, and I'm sure it's because they are more child like.

  30. Dolls are an essential part of growing up in my opinion. As a child I played GI Joes and Barbie Dolls with my younger brother. We had so much fun. Dolls were a huge part of my life. If I had a granddaughter I'd buy her many many of these little dolls. I'd even sit down and play with her. Oh what sweet memories we would make. So those of you fortunate to have daughters and granddaughters get them more dolls. Just watch the light shining in their eyes as they enjoy playing with them. Ramona

  31. I like that these dolls were made with the help of children 🙂 My great niece has had Barbie dolls since she was 4 years old. I didn't have Barbies til I was 8 or 9. The Lottie Doll can show her that dolls can still be kids with the way they dress and the activities they choose, 🙂

  33. I have just learned about Lottie Dolls and am sorry I didn't know about them sooner. I would never have bought my 5 year old granddaughter a Barbie. Like you I too played with Barbie. I still have her too. I am hoping to win a Lottie Doll for my granddaughter. I love the realistic features of a real little girl. If I am not lucky this go around I plan to buy one for my granddaughter for Christmas.
