We received both the sandwich and the salad LunchBlox kits and couldn't wait to try them out! I was able to use the sandwich LunchBlox the very next day for my 11 year old's lunch for school. She's a picky eater so it's always a challenge on what to pack her for her lunch that she will eat and that is also healthy for her with a treat thrown it too 🙂

For this time I decided to make her a sandwich one of the few she likes along with some fruit, cheese string and a few goodies. I love how the pieces of the kit fit together to be so compact yet you have a variety of foods in the kit. Here's what ours looked like.

I love that it has a cooler pack that you can put on the very bottom container or you can have it between the small container and the large container!

The sandwich kit contains the following:

  • 1 Sandwich container
  • 1 Side container
  • 2 Snack containers
  • 1 Medium Blue Ice™pack

It fit in my daughter's lunch bag with room to still put her water bottle in it and still there was space left over love it! You can see for yourself how compact it looks in the lunch bag below. I was amazed when I unpacked her lunch bag after school to find that she had eaten everything and all the containers made it home too because she just stacked them back together. The portion sizes were perfect for her, apparently I've been packing too much!

The salad kit is just as impressive, there's a container for your dressing and to separate anything that might make the salad soggy. Another wonderful idea I just love it, I love salads so this one was for me. I put together my spinach salad and here's how it looked:

Here's what salad kit comes with:

  • 1 Salad base and lid
  • 1 Salad topping tray
  • 1 Dressing container
  • 1 Medium Blue Ice™ pack

Overall Powered by Mom gives the Rubbermaid LunchBlox sandwich AND salad kits 5 stars out of 5 stars for optimizing space, perfect portion sizes and being just perfect for our lunches. Even better yet they are microwave-, dishwasher- and freezer-safe; BPA free and very reasonably price! PERFECT we love them!

Now for the fun go and enter the giveaway. Remember to only claim the entries that you've followed through on as we will verify the entries for the winner. Anyone who does not will have all entries disqualified and will be banned from future PBM giveaways. Thanks for keeping it fair for all 🙂

  1. I would use these for my children's lunches! I would use them for a sandwich, veggies and dip, fruit, cheese and crackers. The salad one would be great to be able to keep the lettuce, croutons and dressing separate until they are going to be eaten!

  4. I switch to Pasta Salads in the winter time. I love the little snack containers for veggies and dip. This would make a healthy lunch for me. I am making a fresh fruit salad this morning and that would be another item I would take for lunch...I love berries! Thank you for this contest! I can't believe that one lucky winner will win not one but FOUR sets!

  5. I'd put in my pasta salad, the multi coloured Fusilli, chopped carrots, chopped celery, chopped green pepper, green onion, cut up a can of the baby corn into bite size chunks, broccoli, cauliflower, put in italian salad dressing, pepper and garlic powder to taste. I love love this salad sometimes I put in chicken and grape tomatoes.

  6. In my lunchbox, I like a fresh fruit, maybe a salad with dressing on the side, either a sandwich or other food with protein and 1-2 snacks - radishes, nuts/seeds, dried fruit or yoghurt.

  9. I THINK I WOULD USE THE SALAD ONE THE MOST BECAUSE I AM PICKY ABOUT MY SALADS AND I DO NOT LIKE CERTIAN THINGS IN IT IF IT IS GOING TO BE SITTING AROUND UNTILL LUNCH , THIS WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO TAKE THE SALAD AND KEEP IT SEPERATED UNTILL I AM READY TO EAT IT-THANKS!
