Slammers Make Great Snacks!

Go Gourmet's Slammers - A healthy snack for everyone

Snacks for our children range from super healthy to super sugary. There is a new line of snacks out that is made for on the go eating and they not only taste great, but they are healthy for our babies, as well. Go Gourmet makes healthy, tasty and organic snack packs called Slammers!

slammers-review-1

Slammers are pouch snacks that can be for kids of all ages and adults too. In fact I gave some to a friend and he says that he and his kids fight over who will get the most! It’s got to be a great snack if parents and kids both love them.

Slammers have cool names such as Epic, Awesome, Chill’n and Pumped. There are also Slammers that have added protein such as creamy banana chocolate, pomegranate grape crush, and watermelon kiwi burst.

Slammers flavor Epic has ingredients such as mango, banana, carrot, orange, Greek yogurt and real vanilla. Epic features extra protein and calcium. Not only does this flavor give you a citrus burst, your child will get the added benefits from all natural flavors and none of the bad stuff, such as added sugars and dyes that other snacks have.

Slammers Awesome flavor combines bananas, apples, blueberries, strawberries, beets, acai, and amaranth. Awesome gives your child antioxidants, fiber, and heart-healthy fats from the berries, the incredible mixed berry flavor will make your child beg for seconds. There is a whole serving of fruits and veggies in each pouch.

Want a good source of vitamin C and iron for your child? Chill’N has bananas, blueberries, butternut squash, Greek yogurt, and yumberry. A yumberry is a raspberry-like fruit with a sweet/sour flavor but it is filled with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Notice a pattern yet? There are lots of fruits but there is also veggies hidden in each pouch. We, as parents, try to get our kids to eat all the veggies that we can, but it’s not as easy as handing them a fork and a bowl full of broccoli. Most kids just do not like veggies. So, when you can sneak them in their snacks, that’s great.

Score one for mom and dad. You’ll want to give these snacks to your kids. Not only are they portable, you won’t have to wash spoons, bowls or cups because they don’t require any. Just open the cap and the kids can squeeze the yumminess in their mouths.

  12. I love these have veggies in it! My son has sensory issues and hates veggies! But he loves apple sauce pouches! I can have him eat these and he doesn't even know it. Now if only they came in a box that didn't show what veggies are in it. Have to hide the box. I can do that!

  16. No added sugar, no dyes -- and a full serving of fruits and veggies in every pouch?! -- What's not to love? Especially interested in the added protein options, as protein is my own personal bane. And the grandkids don't eat nearly enough vegetables.

  17. I like the fact that they are organic and that they contain a full serving of fruit and vegetables in each pouch. I think the names for the different flavors are very clever. It's amazing that there is so much variety of different fruit and vegetable combinations in each pouch and yet the combinations taste great so both kids and adults like them. These would be great for snacks and also for packing in school lunches. I think that both of my grandchildren would love the Slammers pouches.
