Tell Us! We Want to Know!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Powered by Mom Blog wants to give you the opportunity to let us know.

Give us some constructive feedback (which is different than complaints) on what you like in blogs and any suggestions.

We strive to bring you interesting content, fun and fantastic giveaways reviews and more but what would you like to see in a blog, a giveaway, review content etc..? Even if it's just to tell us what prizes you like to see it's all appreciated. Please keep it to CONSTRUCTIVE feedback and do not bash any people or  blogs please, we want feedback but we ask that everyone keep it constructive and polite. Any comments not adhering to this will not be published.

We have several SMALL giveaways with reviews happening right now. Libre Tea Mug is a great example of a small giveaway with a review but it's still an awesome prize check it out!

I know many of you like those who else likes reviews & small giveaways?

REMEMBER: For large giveaways (like the Kitchenaid we currently have) you decide how many entries you do so if you don't want to like so many Facebook pages you don't have to. I just wanted to say that as I know it's an issue for many, we understand where you are coming from but the choice is yours 🙂

Any or all of the above and it doesn't have to be about Powered by Mom  just what you'd like to see in any blog. Remember be nice and respectful though as we're about community so sharing is fine as long as we say it nicely.

    • thanks for that feedback Lily, downside for us for that method is that we don't get to see the comment until AFTER the giveaway is over and we can download the entries so that's why most of us don't do that method.

  2. I enjoy entering giveaways but wish that even the flash giveaways were posted in one spot. I don't go on facebook to enter contests, yet when I do get online and look for any, I've missed just about all of them. I know that there are several different blogs, so don't even know if it's a feasible idea. But I think organization is the key to success and many more followers to your particular blog, whomever that might be. I just am not a fan of "wheres waldo" so to speak. But I do appreciate all the time and effort you put into your reviews and giveaway. I just wish there was someway or somewhere to organize the giveaways into one or two central locations

  3. I like that you all take the time, because I know that you have a lot of things going on in your day, to keep your blogs up to date, and that you offer the best giveaways possible that pertain to all ages. Thank y'all for all that you do.

  4. For the contests that allow twitter daily entries I would avoid requiring to tweet @ someone! I've had my twitter account suspended for tweeting at someone who doesn't reply! Twitter thinks this is spam. Or having to follow a lot of people on twitter at once can also get your account suspended. It's really frustrating.

  5. The only thing I want to suggest with doing the RC or the giveaway tool or the Google docs is that there's a space for the e-mail you use for the subscriptions (e-mail/rss) because like myself, many others have separate e-mail addresses to keep things in order...and when there isn't a box, I'll leave a comment stating..but what if that comment isn't checked - then that entry is thrown out because 'we didn't do it' you know?

I would love to see more cash prizes, GCs (I love, love Victoria's Secret), purses (bag luxe, Michael Kors, Jessica Simpson, etc). home spa packages, different aged toys/games/etc for our children, books (or GCs to the book stores), cell phones, ipads, ipods, (anything gadget related lol)

Thank you all for everything y'all do. I've learned a lot from each one of your blogs!

  6. Love your giveaways, love the rafflecopter, it keeps me from entering something twice.
I understand about the likes and follows list, I just wish they were smaller- seems I always like everyone but a couple. My likes is at it's max, as is my twitter follows, so I have to keep a log on what likes I have open in a contest, etc... Also love the emails if we win, wish there were more name listing on the rafflecopter. I'm not complaiing, just pointing out a few things I wish could be better. Overall, I so enjoy entering your giveaways. The ease of entering has become so much easier, THANKS A MILLION. You guys do such a great job, I know it's a lot of work keeping up with the giveaways and we APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!.

  11. I like reviews and giveaways, but one oft he problems I am having is with the number of FB and twitter likes. Some of the "likes" are not about reviews or deals, but about selling a single item. So I end up with several blogs/people in my news feed touting only one thing they are selling, an item that I wasn't really interested in in the first place. *shrug* maybe it's just me who finds it annoying. Otherwise giveaways are lots of fun, and reviews have definitely influenced my purchases from companies that I might not have heard of before.

  15. All I am interested in is giveaways and an occasional recipe, but I am not a usual reader. The kid is long gone, no grandchildren in the near future, I have no pets nor will ever have any, and I do not do crafts. But, again, I love giveaways! I love free things and I love trying new products for free. Oh, and second after giveaways I love the heads up of good coupons. Gong on 40 years now I have been an avid couponer, sales shopper and rummage saler! Thanks for all the work everyone does blogging! Good job, gals and guys!

  19. I am a huge fan of your blog, I enjoy your reviews because they are very informative. Of course the giveaways are a big draw too..lol. The Savins and free stuff is great. What I don't like are the giveaways where you have to like all the facebook pages or follow all the twitter pages to be able to get the entry. What happens when you are at your limit, not fair to people who have been following for a long time they cannot get the entry and yet newbies can!! I am glad you also have smaller giveaways but maybe the bigger ones you could split the twitter entries so we can enter the ones our limit permits and still get some entry points....just a thought! Thank you for everything.

  22. I love your reviews, they are awesome and am a fan of the recipes too. I enter the giveaways of course when I'm eligible so I do appreciate when Quebec Canada is included. My only gripe is that the giveaways on so many blogs require us liking on FB and following on Twitter waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many bloggers that I have reached my limit on twitter so it has become almost useless for me to enter what with some giveaways having over 100,000 + entries. Seeing that bloggers rarely follow us back especially via twitter than that really puts us "longtime contesters' out of the loop...that being said I thank you so much for all your hard work..your blog is great.

  23. I like blogs that have a giveaways and use the rafflecoppter form system. When there are a lot of blogs or sites to like on Facebook or Twitter I prefer to have them all on one page rather than having to do each on separately on the giveaway form itself. I also like to have information on the blogger and their family and not just a bunch of information.

You have a wonderful balance of blog activity and advertisement which I am seeing can be quite difficult for a lot of people. You should pat yourself on your back for that because I know it is not an easy feat. I wish you the best in the future and believe you will continue to grow and be successful just because you are organized with great information for your followers. Thank You!

I enjoy posts and giveaways of practical, everyday useful items and information. Having a new pair of earrings is nice, but it won't help me out in the yard, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom or to prepare a great meal. Probably my very favorite thing on blogs are book reviews and book giveaways. Thanks

  28. I truly enjoy this blog. I love the detailed reviews. I love that you have smaller giveaways and bigger giveaways. I think you and the other blogs have done a nice job making the larger giveaways easier to enter. I know they are more time consuming, however the prize is worth more. I think you balance it out with the smaller giveaways that don't require as much. I have found that once you have entered several big giveaways it becomes easier because I usually find that I already like most of the FB pages, twitters, and subscribe to emails. I will be making a spreadsheet to notate all the newsletters I've subscribed to and rss feeds I've subscribed to, so I don't have to keep rechecking. Thank you again for all you do!

And now to suggestion. when bloggers tweet about Mom Blogs giveaways or when they write about them in their blogs or newslatters I wish they ALWAYS mentioned that it's shared giveaway from Mom Blogs. Every time I see a tweet or read email and find very cool contest that I want to enter, I click the link to find that I'm already in. So it's get confusing and overwhelming to open the links and wait around while rafflecopter loads just to find out that it's the same contest over and over again

  37. Liking the facebook pages isn't always a choice- they (FB) has a cap of 5000 - plus a few maybe a hundred or so- so I am constantly having to go in and unlike pages- twitter has a cap as well - 10% over your # of followers, so when bloggers don't follow back it is hard to like everyone to get the max entries. I like it better when there is one entry per blog liked or followed instead of having to do a bunch on a page because I am sure I inadvertently dq myself unliking to like others for different giveaways. That way I do get credit for everyone who is/stays on my list.

I also like the smaller giveaways, it's nice to try new things before spending money.

I am soooooooooooooooooo very tired of the long lists of sponsors and twitter accounts to follow. I am at the max of 2000 now and cannot add any more.
I don't even do facebook and hate when that is made a mandatory requirement which some blogs do. I find that I resent the product offered when they want to make you "LIKE" them and I resent the blog that has that kind of giveaway and usually don't go there often to check our their blog.

  46. First I would like to say, I like your blog with the pretty purple and it's layed out so it's easy to view. I love doing giveaways and contest but I do think some of them are longer and harder than others. The rafflecopter at first was a little different to get use to from the giveaways where you just enter with your name, address, phone, email. Sometimes I have trouble with the rafflecopter with the requests to do. I'm not real knowledgeable with the computer so it's hard for me. I like both the large and small prizes, it's kinda like challenge. I love the KitchenAid Stand Mixer giveaway, been wanting one for like 40 yrs. but can't afford to buy one being disabled it's hard. I try to enter to win one whenever I can, it's the only way I'm going to get one. I like seeing the KitchenAid also other kitchen items, handbags, jewelry, diamond candles which I would love to win too just once, toys, dishes, pots and pans, grills, etc. and even dog or cat things for giveaways. I like reading about the product to be given for the giveaways because it lets you see what it's about and whether or not if thats something you want to try for. Well I guess I kinda let my mouth get away from me, so I'll be quite and go for now.

I really giveaways the most. But I really like when blogs show pictures of things. If they are reviewing something, show me pictures of how well it worked. If it's about food, show me pictures of the steps. A picture is worth 1000 words 🙂

  49. Love contests! I think when a prize is won, the winner should be contacted by email. A lot just post somewhere, without actually notifying the winner personally. I don't understand that concept...you would think the contest provider would be thrilled to contact the winner letting them know...not all do that of course, but a lot do! 🙂

    • Thanks Susan interesting about the purple font because when I look at it I find it quite easy to read especially compared to different colors. I think it depends on the monitors people use and the color settings on them.

  50. I appreciate finding ALL sorts of companies (new and old favorites) product reviews on blogs. I have let family know about products we never would have heard about otherwise, or have found out about the newest GREATEST toy or item for the kids or grandkids this way and is a great way to find gift ideas. When there are 'big ticket' items up for giveaways I am glad to follow that trail and find new blogs that way, and often stop along the way to read their reviews and enter their giveaways. I also have the problem others have stated...the long list of twitter and facebook follows is blocked because I have been maxed out. Facebook is one thing, but I understand twitter follow is based on some sort of %, and when bloggers don't give me a nod and follow back, it is hard for me to keep following others. Therefore, so many giveaways are out of reach when the group giveaways require follows. I have entered some where you have a list and you are able to choose which ones to follow, and only THOSE follows are added into entries. Though more "reasonable or fair" it doesnt always give a new blog the exposure they NEED if people don't choose to follow them. I get it. I someday hope to blog and would like that little extra help and exposure...just makes it hard. And although the bloggers want followers and numbers, based on marketing and being able to offer more and often "better?" products, it does take away from our time to really spend time with the blogs we find a true connection to. It is overwhelming sometimes...

  53. I like reviews as I am not always certain whether or not to try products, etc. so it is helpful to hear of others' experiences. Like everyone, I love giveaways! I live on a small income, so it is important to me to find items to win for myself and for gifts for my large family. Even though I am alone now, I still like to contribute and feel a part of my family. I do get discouraged when I see those big old rafflecopter things! I cannot follow more on Twitter and they are pretty stinky about it! LOL I had to do another facebook page to enter contests too! Most of the time I prefer the cash or GCs so I can use them for my expenses, travel, or gifts. Thanks for all you do!

The one feature I would like to see changed is the duration of the giveaways. Most giveaways extend over a long period of time, but I was hoping for maybe just week long giveaways. And maybe 'NO' daily entries, like tweeting everyday. I enter SO MANY giveaways, it's hard to remember to come back to a specific blog to complete daily entries.

    Just my thoughts and opinions.

  66. I too appreciate all the great reviews especially~the detailed write up help a lot! Of course, LOVE the give aways & prizes! (Always crossing my fingers, toes & eyes!) to win!

I also agree with what Ellen above me stated as it takes HOURS to follow all these pages which IS alot of time away from other things on here for only 1 winner out of thousands~so that being said~does any1 ever take a poll from your followers to ask if they prefer a group of smaller prizes over just 1 big prize? Just curious. I get what the blog owners (you) are saying, but I, like many other followers are stating, I doubt I will keep doing hrs & hrs of pages of liking & following. It isn't fun (lonely) & not getting anything else done (surveys, visiting, etc) I can/DO appreciate a lot, but also need to appreciate my time/needs as most of these we'll never hear or win from either.

    GL every!! Blessings~

  70. I actually frequently like the smaller giveaways better for several reasons. First, they often (but unfortunately not always) are much easier to enter, since they don't have pages of likes/follows/etc. to go through. Then, because they are often more focused (for example, I don't enter many baby-oriented giveaways unless it is something I can use as a gift or donation), they also frequently have fewer entries, which increases my chances somewhat. I also like it best when the 'mandatory' is only 1-2 items, and normally broad enough to allow anybody to enter--I do not twitter or follow through several of the newer methods that are popping up. I realize that there are exceptions to this, but those are easy to identify and just skip, usually.

  73. I am pretty new to facebook, and I'm REALLY new to this sweepstakes thing. I'm actually still a bit skeptical as to how this all works. I have no problem liking pages or spreading news and sharing, and I actually like the smaller items the best so far to place entries on. Nothing I vote on is for me, I'm a college guy, looking at the upcoming holidays and realizing I won't have presents for my family, daughter, or significant other. The little items are great, easy to enter, and there's such a variety I know if I win a few things I'll be set for the holidays. Thank you.

  74. I love to enter small contests the best! I especially love to find that delivery notice on my door saying something wonderful has arrived. I do enter the "big" giveaways...and even won one (still waiting for it to arrive). Some things that bother me are the facebook "likes" that are not available in Canada 🙁 Don't you love us too? Or entries that invite us to enter more giveaways and they are not open to Canadians. So sad.
One thing about "big" giveaways is when it happens to be the same bloggers controlling (bad word...hmm) Hosting a number of these, I find myself more interested in exploring their blogs and finding out what's new with them...I like to feel I am getting to know you a bit - I watch for your emails more.
Something I would love to win is a good digital camera. You don't see many giveaways for cameras. And frankly, Libre Tea could not have TOO many giveaways! I am trying to win one - we could all be a Nation of tea drinkers 🙂
Well I have rambled on a bit long. Thanks for giving us a chance to mentions some of those things that we like and don't like.

  83. Hi,

I love Flash Giveaways. I wish Facebook would take away the 5000 Likes restriction. I want to be able to like what I want to. I don't see why it is set up that way. I like seeing reviews that are followed by a Giveaway. Reviews are so helpful before you sink your money into something that doesn't work right. I like your blog and wish you continued success.

Thanks for the giveaways I love entering them I agree with another comment about entering other giveaways that you wouldn't have unless it was part of the rules it does take away from another persons chance at that item and you wouldn't have entered if it wasn't part of the rules. I am greteful for all the time and effort you put into the giveaways.

Of course I pass up on ones I can't use but if they're cash I always enter because in this day and age who can't use cash. I am looking for a new mattress and a dslr so I search them out. Thanks for all you do.

  91. My only negative comment would be...when doing a giveaway, I don't appreciate being forced to join a site or enter another giveaway that I did not choose. I think that when these things are done, you are taking away from the person(s) that really wanted to win the gift that I was forced to enter, that I did not want.

Thanks to you all, and keep up the good work.

I do not think that is a fair way to sponsor a giveaway and it makes me not like the product and the blog that is hosting that kind of giveaway. Everyone told me to set up a fake facebook account just so I could get the entries, but I think that is dishonest.

I luv to enter giveaways with rafflecopter...my time online is limited and it makes it sooooooo quick and easy to enter. I do not understand why blogs ask you to comment in their comment section when you can put your comment right there in the form.

    Thanks for listening...

    • Thanks for your feedback. I thought I should let you know that the reason many ask for comments on our blog instead of the rafflecopter is that 1) we can see those comments until the giveaway closes and only if we download it into a spreadsheet from rafflecopter. It doesn't make sense to get comments we can see before or after (unless downloaded) and that can't be shared on our blog with others. Take care!

  105. I really like blogs that are easy to navigate usually with some sort of drop down menu where it lists the different types of posts. I also appreciate when giveaways are clearly marked who they are open to. I find this can be tricky with the giveaway linkies as there are often giveaways on there that are mistakenly marked WW or open to CAN and they are really only open to the US. It can get a little frustrating because often by that point, I have already completed entries. My own fault for not making absolutely sure first I suppose lol.

As for the nature of blog posts, I really enjoy reading real posts about bloggers family life because it makes it easier to relate to and sometimes you pick up a nifty trick or two to try at home. I also love reading honest and down to earth reviews about products. Reviews that aren't afraid to say if they didn't quite like a feature.

    Thanks for everything 🙂

Seriously, that clutters up my FB page to no end and I find myself 'cleaning out' those that hold no interest for me (or they spam me).

I'd rather see one 'central' FB / Pinterest board to cover all the participants. Twitter -- that's less bothersome.

My opinion only. No harm intended.

  109. okay first off this is not a sympathy thing so please no need for people to jump on me, ive seen it done to others, not on here however, anyway deep and meaningful ok, this is hob=nest to god on my life my july, my 9 year olds SN son got his first puppy, the breeder said it had its(her Ally) shots, i made an appointment July 5th to take her in , we got her the beginning/middle of June, but trying to teach my son a lesson I told him hed have to wait until he had some of his money and id pay the rest ok, thats why it was the july 5th we wouldve taken her in, now my next door neighbors dog died of parvo, but she didnt think that was important enough to tell the person of a 7 pound schnoodle puppy that had become my sons real best friend, my other neighbor told me on june 30th, my dog got ill the next day and died on July 3rd, then my uncle died and my cousin whos like 30 years older than me and i dont know in a different state started talking horrible about me on facebook, THEN, 2 of my friedns at 42 died, one of a stroke w/2 boys, and the other of a heart attack, my uncle died of cancer bTW, then I got a speeding ticket (that actually happened the first of July) and yesterday i got the court date in the mail, its on my sisters Birthday and its also back to school time, so these blogs, and give aways are the only thing that have kept me sane, I am so glad July is over with it seemed all i did was cry!! my moms B-day was the 19th we had a suprise party on the 27th, and that is the only good memory i have of July! Happy 78th momma!!:)

  114. For the record I absolutely love giveaways! But the only problem I have with entering some of them is that you can get big points for leaving comments on "non-giveaway" posts. The problem with many blogs is that there are no or few post that aren't a giveaway. It takes me 20 min. just to find a post to leave a relevant comment on (especially when there is no link and you have to open multiple windows) or maybe if there was a tab for just reviews or recipes, etc that would be helpful (I know there are many that do but there are also many that don't). And total bummer on Twitter limits!!!

  115. I like when blogs have a side bar with a giveaway linky list of their giveaways. I do not like having to go to Giveaway tabs and finding a mess of a blog's own giveaways mixed with other random giveaways, or having to wait for multiple RC or GT forms to load because of the way the blog's pages are set up. It is so much easier when giveaways are neatly listed, with end date, on the side of the blog.
Also, I like when FB/Twitter entries for the large giveaways are listed individually (each one = one entry) instead of listed in bulk on a page. I know quite a few of us have hit our maximums on FB and Twitter and it is so frustrating when you are one FB like or Twiter follow away from the entry but cannot like/follow the last page (even if you want to).
You guys have done a great job at organizing some great giveaways and have run many great ones on your own. I hope to see more in the future!

I understand the reasoning behind it but it still stinks when you can't get the entries because FB and twitter decided to limit the amount of people you follow! I like some personal content, stories that happen to you or things you encounter in everyday life as they often are humerous and give me a laugh or are something that i can relate to. I dont like on giveaways when you feel pressured to go comment on this review or that one.I understand that blogs want to have feedback etc, but most of the comments are people just trying to get an entry so it isnt real.I dont often comment on blogs , unless something strikes me to speak, something as simple one day as saying I like the dress the person was blogging about they wore, or something that I found super interesting. But I think the only way to get genuine comments is when people find that something made them want to speak. I read lots , comment rarely , but when I do it is beacuse I actually have something to I want to say

  151. I'm an old hand at entering sweepstakes, but entering giveaways hosted by blogs is fairly new to me. I have to say that at first, I was very intimidated and thought it was a lot of work. I realized after the first week, that after doing it for a few days, most of the likes and follows are taken care of, an entrant just has to make sure it's done and click enter on the RaffleCopter. It's a lot easier than I had at first thought.

What I like best about blog giveaways is the variety of prizes offered. There's everything to hope for when entering. From fashion and jewelry and bags and shoes, to housewares, to toys... There is so much! The thing I like best is the amount of giveaways devoted to childrens products. There are very few sweepstakes offered on line that are devoted to things that kids will enjoy.

The only thing that I would hope for is to see more articles/post and giveaways devoted to older children. I realise that many of the bloggers have younger children (toddlers and infants) so they review products and do giveaways specifically geared towards those age groups. I believe having posts relating to cooking for, traveling with, crafting with, or entertaining older children... as well as giveaways for things they would enjoy... would expand bloggers readership even more. Say things for ages seven through twelve or thirteen... Maybe even posts relating to teenagers.

In conculsion, I have to tell you that I find this blog, and many others to be amazing! I've been inspired to work on a blog of my own and have started one, but I am already amazed at the sheer amount of effort it takes to maintain just the writing (not that I lack for things to say, obviously!) but learning how to personalize a blog, how to make posts relevant to one's own life and interesting to readers, how to attract readership and keep it... It's all so much and bloggers have family, friends, homes and jobs to keep, too! Someday I would like to be involved in reviewing products and offering these fabulous giveaways, too, but for now, I'm still in the process of learning to add templates and buttons to my blog.

The knowledge of you and your fellow bloggers, the effort you all go to, and the moments of relaxation, humor, and entertainment you bring to us, your readers, is greatly appreciated. I know I look forward to the times my kids go to bed, I get the dishes washed and then can finally sit down with a glass of Merlot and my laptop for a little while of reading my favorite blogs and entering a few giveaways that might benefit myself and my family.

    • Thanks for all of your wonderful feedback it is much appreciated. I know what you mean having a child who is not a toddler (mine is almost 11) there are a lot of baby giveaways it seems but not as much for the pre-teens to teen-agers or at least not as many compared to the other ones. I think you above header is a little big for the site and I would put the small areas or words into a tab like format. I hope this is helpful. I would tell you also that you bloggers have a great thing going for you by networking together! Please have a great day!

  153. I love all the hard work that all you bloggers do. I wish I could start a blog and help inspire people. The only thing is I have to agree with Jills post. A lot of times I have to miss out on entries because I cannot follow anymore people on Twitter or Facebook due to the maximum restrictions. Not only that but my facebook wall gets so cluttered I can't see any of my friends or families posts. In lue of that, I love your blog and reviews and I thank you for the chance to win some giveaways.

  154. I'm fairly new to reading blogs and entering the contests, but its been a lot of fun. The amount of work all of you put into the blogs and finding the deals and getting the reviews out there is amazine! I'm a single mom looking for ways to cut corners and save some money...and I'm getting better at the budgeting everyday. The coupons and savings are a huge help!

When I find one of your giveaways that I am interested in, I don't enter half of the time because of this. The only other way is to go Unlike and Unfollow other pages. I don't like having to do this. Any comments?

    Thank you

    • Autumn, I can't speak for other bloggers but if it's a giveaway that I'm the main admin, I always have a comment entry and sometimes just an easy hit enter entry as well as Picket fence and/or pinterest so usually I have other options but on my smaller giveaways I don't include all of them for the same reason I don't want there to always be a ton of things it seems some people want tons of options some don't so it's hard for us to please everyone. All I can say is do the ones you can and for those who don't like tons of entries they don't have to do them all that's what most people don't seem to comment on is that most of the entries are not required people can choose not to do them all as well Thanks for the feedback.

  157. I am not sure if that has been done here or not, so I am just going to go on and say that.

I have a 4 and 3 year old nieces who are not listening to anyone. Promising them or saying that they are not going to be watching cartoons is not working. The only way to calm theme down is to put them in time out. I was hopping that someone can do a post with some parenting advice on here with better options. That would be great thank you in advance.

  158. The facenook follow pages are a little overwhelming even for a prize as nice as a kitchenaid mixer and I do sometimes have to miss out on entries because of it. Also I mostly use a kindle fire for my web browsing and entering giveaways with 10 facebook follow pages can get a little time consuming which is a bummer. But you guys do a lot of hard work to host these giveaways so I suppose I should complain lol. Thanks for all that you do!

  159. I for one don't mind the Group giveaways as by now I've done so many big and small ones that most of blogs I have already liked. It's pretty nice to see that though there may be 6 pages of Facebook follows, with ten on each, that I only have one or two new ones each to follow.

  161. I am like some of the others who have commented on here. I love all the giveaways big and small and enter as many as I can. I have even won a thing or two. Sometimes my mailbox is like Christmas at the wrong time of year which is a really fun thing. But following so many blogs can become overwhelming and sometimes i miss out on a few entries because it takes so long to put in for every entry available. You have a wonderful site here and I try to visit as often as possible, but sometimes you get buried under the mountain of other blogs that are out there. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the good advice I have found here and thanks again for all the great giveaways you sponsor.

  164. I have entered many of your giveaways and compliment you on your direction towards the same, as the prizes are exceptionally nice in quality. However, I find that the shorter the span of time the giveaway is held would be more beneficial to you. Example: instead of holding a giveaway for a three or four week period of time, you could limit it to a 10 to 14 day time period. I realize the time and effort that goes into your giveaways and appreciate the same, but I also believe that limiting the time would stir more action and interest on your blog.

    • Karen thanks so much for the feedback 🙂 I personally do prefer 10-14 day ones to and the ones that originate with me are no longer than that some of the ones I partner on the main admin decides on longer so any longer ones are because I'm not the main admin 🙂

  165. I'm very new to the giveaway blog arena, but have been hopeful enough to sign up for a few things. My only issue with the "likes" is that there are one or two that seem to be out of place with family-friendly couponers. Obviously I wouldn't have to "like" them but i do want to win the prize! Thanks for providing me with the opportunities!

I love all of your giveaways, but maybe doing a various gift baskets maybe one is filled with bathroom stuff like towels and lotions and bath salts, etc and another filled with make up and beauty stuff, and another one could be filled with electronics, and another could be filled with stuff for tea time and another filled with pet stuff. Well you get the idea.

I hear about how to get great deals but, I don't really get rollovers and do you need to have a store card? Once I figured out Safeways Just for U. I saved a LOT of $! 41% on my last visit! That really helps us out! Thanks so much for all your work! You all rock!

  174. I've been saying this for a while now and I am glad to see that others on this board are saying something similar. While I understand that group giveaways are a quick way to get lots of followers, I cringe every time I see one. Facebook only allows 5000 likes. When you enter giveaways that literally require 250 or page likes at a time to complete all the entries, that fills up your faccebook allocation pretty quickly. That then means having to make a new facebook account if you want to enter more contests since we agree to not unlike pages after a giveaway is over. The pages they really want to follow get lost in all the others on the newsfeed and you can't spend all your time hiding pages after you've liked them all. If we create new accounts, even if we only use 1 to enter, bloggers then question why we have those accounts and if we are cheating (which is exactly what we are trying NOT to do). The prizes are nice, but when there is only 1 prize and 100,000 entries, it's kind of like winning the lottery. You can spend hours and hours entering and never win a thing. If you do win a $500 or so prize and divide it by all the hours you've invested, you still don't come out ahead. I guess my point is, it's more fun to enter small contests and actually win small prizes once in a while than to put more time and effort into the giveaways that you rarely if ever win.

    • Thanks for that Jill I personally have lots of small giveaways with reviews too and I've won some small giveaways they are fun to enter. I would just like to mention that for a blog like mine that has almost 17000 FB likes even a large giveaway like this is not a quick way for my blog to get new followers, in fact I usually only get a few. It does help the newer bloggers so I don't do it for that as I don't benefit that way. I do it as it's one of the few ways to get a large prize and many fans want a chance at it, generally when you look at the odds it is still better than the lottery where it's 1 in a million and even though a giveaway like this may have 100,000 entries that's not a 100,000 people so the odds are better. Bloggers do know what it's like for people to enter large giveaways as they do so themselves as well. We leave it up to individuals though to decide at least here on PBM how many entries you do so it is up to you in the end. Thanks for your feedback, I am aware of this but also please be aware sponsors want lots of promotion and won't do the big giveaways without it. All the best!

  179. I like the smaller prizes where I don't have to follow so many people. I understand its necessary for the the big prizes. I've had a very bad experience in a large giveaway with a blog and I won't enter any giveaway she's part of. I am making an exception for the mixer though. Small giveaway let me follow only who I wish to interact with. Thanks for your reviews and giveaways

  185. I would like to see far far less of the 'group' contests and more of the things you personally have reviewed and are offering yourself.. I of course am using this as an entry for the kitchenaid, but I am ending up following far more people than I want to in order to obtain entries.

When we follow so many people it really does get to be a mess- as readers it is difficult to keep up with any kind of social interaction on facebook much less twitter. There are some bloggers I have followed for years and I actually like interacting with them. In this group thing , so many are pages I don't have an interest in and they never follow back anyway. I know why it is done, and I can appreciate it but I would rather see smaller prizes and be a rader who has time to comment. I guess what I am saying is I prefer quality over quantity,

I do enjoy your blog and follow you many ways- I wish I did have more time to comment and visit you but following so many, it is a bit much :/

      • I would love to see more handbags, jewelry and watch giveaways. I'd like to see more of the smaller giveaways. More individual blog giveaways. The bugs combined blog giveaways are nice but hard to win. More little items would make a person feel like they have a better chance to win. Of food giveaways are good in my book also.

It would also be nice if when we follow a blog in twitter if they would follow us back. We are limited to 2,000 that we can follow unless we gave an equal number that follow us. I have 730 followers and I keep maxing out in the number I can follow. I have to go back and unfollow in order to follow new sponsors or blogs in order to keep being able to enter new giveaways.
        I'm usually unfolliwing sponsors.

I have the same problem in Facebook because they max us at 5,000 liked. I guess needs to open a different type of Facebook page just for entering giveaways. oh and feedburner limits the number if blogs you can subscribe to then the just randomly deleted subscriptions.

Then some of the WordPress blogs are not mobile phone friendly. The rafflecopter doesn't fit on the page properly it is wider than the blog page so part of it is cut off..usually the green entry buttons. I don't have a computer I use my cell phone for everything. I have brought it to the attention of several of the WordPress blog owners that are have the problem and they haven't done anything about it. It is a issue with WordPress not my phone. Because I use to not have the issue up until a few months ago. Some of the blogs did some sort of update land those are the ones with the problem.

Another thing that would help us if all blogs would offer both RSS feeds and email service. My operating system is not compatible with the RSS feeds but i have no issue with email. But for some reason some blogs only offer RSS feeds this causes a problem for some of us. Give is a choice. You say you want us to read your blog. Well let us have the chance to have your postings sent to our email inbox.

I am sure i can think of more but this is enough for now.

        Thank you for the soapbox
        Linda

        • Hi Linda,
Thanks for the feedback. I've looked into it and as far as I know I can't do anything about wordpress and how it looks on people's phones, there are different themes on WP and it's next to impossible for us to know which ones look ok on which phones etc.. as well we have to do updates when they are available as it can affect the security of our blogs, I know people who have been hacked because they didn't do updates.

I msyelf have a email subscribe option available so hope you subscribed 🙂
