While they have the day away from house cleaning pamper them with a day at the spa! A day at the spa will never be turned down by this mama and I know many men like some time at the spa too and why not who wouldn't love to relax and be pampered?

top 10 holiday gift ideas afternoon tea

How about some fun with tea and scones with an afternoon tea. This may not sound fabulous to all and I would have had to say at one point I wouldn't have though so either but I did one this year and it was fun. Not to mention that all the different teas I sampled along with some scones, petit fours and a few other scrumptious goodies made it for a fun afternoon. The ladies all dressed up in their English ladies best dress too, some went all out, it was a blast!

Have your head in the clouds or wish you did? Try a hot air balloon ride, I hear that the views are amazing. This one is on my bucket list, I've heard it's serene.

Check out a local show and we don't mean the movies! Look for a Broadway like show, musical, comedy or whatever catches your fancy!

I personally like to find out about local attractions or maybe go visit the next town or city and explore and see what they have to offer. You never know what you will find. A great example is the LA Zoo lights, how pretty and you'd be surprised at what your town or city might offer or the one over from you. Explore and see what you can find on Livingsocial you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Do a local paint night at a pub or restaurant or get together with friends for one of your own at a local studio. So many places offer this now and having been to one personally I can say they are a ton of fun!

This year, think outside of the box – literally – by giving the unexpected and extraordinary. From heart-racing activities such as jet skiing, jet flight simulation and race car driving to the more cerebral such as cooking or photography lessons, you can easily gift them something to talk about with LivingSocial.

Love horses or always wanted to ride one or maybe go on a horse drawn carriage? Both options are fun and more often than not you can find at least riding lessons on LivingSocial!

In my opinion no list would be complete with out the gift idea of a night out to dinner. Try a new restaurant or maybe even spot a deal on LivingSocial for one of your favorites. Take the night off from cooking or give that gift to someone so they can be served a delectable meal and someone else gets to clean up! Remember it can be for breakfast or lunch out too depending on what everyone likes.

Yum I do love sushi!

  1. I really like the Spa for a gift. I wish someone would give that to me. I'm kind of a stressed out person (not just because of the holidays) so I would love a massage, facial, maybe one of those stone sessions. Who wouldn't love a day to get pampered?

    • I forgot to mention... The top 10 Holiday Gift Ideas on LivingSocial reminded me – If, if I could receive a gift and be able to transfer it, the gift would be a day off from cleaning the home, I'd give such to my family member to whom served in the military (but isnt getting her benefits that she deserves) and let the professionals do it! This way we can have someone else take over that knows what they’re doing.

  12. Local shows can be fun as long as you realize that the people are typically not professionals. We were just at a play where the people behind us were making fun of the acting - it's a community theater NOT Broadway.

  13. I really love the afternoon tea idea! I've done this once with my mother for Christmas about 5 years ago and we had such a wonderful time. We really got to experience an elegant afternoon that was unlike anything we'd had before. We dressed up and tried foods that we'd never tasted before and it was just really fun and relaxing. I would love to do this again and I had forgotten all about it until now! It looks like I'll have to do this again with my mother and maybe even a few girlfriends!
