Ride it around in my new car? You had to love her and always good for a laugh.. She said she never did know what it was so now I was suppose to make a sign with it that I was not aloud to date unless I graduated .. What >? I so miss laughing with her and memories just give me smiles and realize she gave me the best birthday gift ever ...laughter ..That was a ''light bulb'' in my life ,even though she was little late on toy 😀 <3

  16. I have a ton of nice memories between myself & kids birthdays but my favorite off the top of my head is my now 13 year old son when he was 3......he was SO excited to have guests & presents it was so sweet and cute. He was truly thankful for everything he received and you could tell he felt very special. Sometimes as kids age it just doesn't seem genuine so its always nice to see that excitement & gratefulness!! P.S. My birthday is June 12th as well 🙂 Happy Birthday!!!

  17. My most memorable birthday was when I turned 16. I never knew my dad he left before I was born so was raised solely by my mom. I was always a big mickey mouse and Disney fan and back then always saw commercials and wanted to go. So my mom saved yearly and was able to afford to take me for my 16th birthday. We arrived 2 days before and we stayed 2 weeks we had went in to Disney world park day before my birthday and nothing. The morning of my birthday as we had a 5-day pass as soon as we walked through the gate Mickey was standing right there. My mom made me an entire album of our trip and I will never forget it!! Have a great birthday, hope yours is every bit as wonderful!!!! 🙂

He carried it around the whole day and wouldn't let anyone actually hit it so we finally had to open it up, very carefully so as not to hurt the clown, to get the candy out for the kids.

  25. Back in the early 70's, my father was on "alert" at our Air Force Base quite often. One birthday he couldn't leave the base so my mother and I went to him so I could celebrate my birthday. The only thing I really remember is getting a big Barbie Head that you could fix its hair and makeup. I think it was made my Barbie, maybe someone else I don't remember.

  29. My grampy's 95th birthday: He joked that we would have to call the fire department & ask permission to light all the candles, so one of my aunts decided to have some fun- she let the Fire Department know & asked them to send over someone decked out in full gear- and TWO guys showed up for the party! It was quite a blast.

  37. When I was in Grade 2, I invited my whole class to my birthday party because I didn't want anyone to feel left out. I still remember my mother wondering what she was going to do with all these kids when the phone calls started coming, asking directions to our farm. Thankfully it was a sunny summer day, and we played outside the whole time.
When we saw the Robert Munsch book, Moira's Birthday, we both smiled remembering the party before my mother established the one guest per year of age birthday party rule.

  46. Our sons 4th birthday was a Pirate themed party and my little brother was still in high school at the time. He went to the park beforehand and drew a very realistic map to the 'buried treasure' and marked it with a big red X that he had built. Our son STILL talks about this day, and he's 10 now. He had the time of his life following the map.. it took him about 45 minutes to do the whole thing, but he never asked for help once!

  54. My favorite birthday was the first one with my now husband. We had only first met in November, and both our birthdays are in January. I had mentioned at some time that the only thing I ever wanted for my birthday but could never get (besides an actual party) was a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. My home town has a Dairy Queen, but it always used to close for the winter. And back when I was a kid, there was no ice cream caked in the grocery store. He surprised me with the ice cream cake, and it was the best cake ever!
