Our neighborhood sets off firecrackers and small fireworks right at midnight - I love watching the ball drop and then hearing the fireworks go off 🙂

I just have a fabulously lazy day off of work and love it.
We don't have any traditions, but I think I started one this morning. We cleaned out every cabinet in the house and washed everything in sight. What better way to start the new year than with a clean house?!

Every New Year's Eve, our entire family (this year 16 of us) have dinner at the local Chinese buffet. The variety pleases everyone and it's reasonably priced. New Year's Day my daughter and my great-nephew (6 mos. apart in age) have a play date while the grown ups get to visit.
My favorite NYE tradition is toasting in the new year with a glass of wine watching Dick Clark's Rockin' NYE

Making New Years Resolutions
My New Years Day tradition is relaxing. Just enjoying a day off.
The usual stay up until midnight, and kiss your partner at midnight
sleeping in (unfortunately my 5 year old doesnt help me keep this tradition - lol)
My family always goes to bed at our regular time on NYE, and we go do something in the morning on NYD. Usually we have the park, zoo, or wherever we go to ourselves for a few hours while everyone else is sleeping.
