Powered by Mom shares her review of her made to measure Kelly Dress from AbbeyPost!
Do you have a tough time finding clothes that fit properly on you? Could it be because most off-the rack clothes are made to fit certain sizes and shapes? This doesn’t always make sense since we’re not all the same shape and size! I think I’m now officially addicted to AbbeyPost clothes as I love my new made to measure Kelly dress, this is not something I say often. In fact I so rarely love any dresses I find, especially since I gained weight after my daughter was born and some of it never left me!
Here I am wearing my Kelly dress and I got the plum color, I was very tempted with the red color but I’m sure you can figure out why I went with purple. As you can see my cat Oliver insisted he be in the picture too 🙂 (look for an awesome coupon code to AbbeyPost at the bottom of our review)
It was easy to order my dress, I provided all of my measurements and AbbeyPost even has a video (check it out here) to help you figure out where to measure so you can get the best fit possible. I decided I liked the 3/4 sleeves and the v-neck just like they had in the picture on their site and I also provided my preference for the length of the dress too. Having the choice of sleeve length, neckline and length of the dress was wonderful. I don’t like my dresses to be below the knee unless it’s floor length and I don’t want it too short either as I certainly don’t want to worry about it rising every time I sit down! I have to admit I was a bit worried when I got the dress as it seems so plain looking on the hanger, but once I put it on I was ecstatic! I think this is the first time I’ve said that about a dress in a long time, it looks so different once I put it on because it was made for me!
Being a busy, working mom who is trying to run her own home business I simply don’t have the time to find the “right” dress in stores that will fit me, my budget and that I will confident in and now I don’t have to thanks to AbbeyPost. I’m already planning on which dress I want next (leaning towards the Rachel Dress in red) that’s how much I love these dresses. They are well made, nothing flimsy about them, comfortable and when something is made for your body type and style preference how can you not love it?!
I also like that I can dress it up or down, wear with heels, flats or boots like I do below.
I’m looking for the perfect pewter handbag and shoes to really dress it up, and for my next date night with hubby I’m going to wear it with those and some chunky jewelry for yet another look. Love the versatility with these dresses!
I’ve got the sash a bit messed up in the back here which my daughter failed to tell me but that’s okay it’s an easy fix even for the style challenged. I usually could never get sashes/belts on dresses to work but I did fine with my Kelly dress 🙂
I don’t think you need to ask but just in case you haven’t caught onto my enthusiasm I LOVE ABBEYPOST dresses and I can’t wait to try more made to measure clothes for me. As I mentioned I’d love to get the Kelly dress and their Tanya Stragith Leg Ponte Pants looks like something I would get a lot of use out of and I won’t have to get the pants hemmed like I have to for so many pants. Some of the regular sized petite pants in stores are a tad short for me if I want to wear anything with heels and “regular” pants are always too long for this almost 5 “4” gal so thank goodness for made to measure clothes at AbbeyPost!
