Information from Lola’s Adoption Post

Sadly, Lola was abandoned in an empty house when her former family moved out. She suffers from a bit of anxiety when left all alone, but she is said to be more comfortable if she has an animal friend to be home alone with. Lola gets along great with other small dogs and cats!

A volunteer wrote, “Lola is a 14 or 15 year old poodle mix. She’s about ten pounds. She is as sweet as can be and wants to be around people constantly!

She’s lived a very hard life. In the last few months, she was abandoned by her owners when they moved and was found in their empty house. She was malnourished and covered in fleas and mammary tumors. She is also blind in one eye.

But Lola does not let these things slow her down! When people meet her they can’t believe she’s 15! She can play like a puppy but also loves to sit next to you on the couch and cuddle. She gets along very well with small dogs and cats. She doesn’t seem to like big dogs so I think she needs to find a home without them.

She’s really smart and a wonderful dog! Bad things have happened to her through no fault of her own to land her in this situation. All she wants in life is a warm lap to snuggle on. Please help us find her a home for the holidays!!”

Thanks to a very generous donor, Lola’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored! She will also go to her new home spayed, fully vaccinated, her tumors will be removed and she will have had a complete dental surgery. Now all she needs is a loving and compassionate home! (Any potential adopter will be fully screened prior to adoption.)
