Let's Help Sadie Find a Home! Dog Adoption of the Day #AdoptDon'tShop

It's been 20 days since 10 year old Sadie's first post on SSD, and her shelter told us she's still there. I think it's time Sadie's forever home came and found her. She needs to be out of the shelter and she's just such a sweetie!

Meet Sadie

sadie

If you’re not going to have a pet be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it’s a lifetime commitment of love!

Information from Sadie's Adoption Post

Sadie has been looking for her home since early August. The shelter said that "she’s had lots of visits, but hasn’t found her perfect person yet."

PLEASE SHARE to help Sadie find her perfect person!

Sadie, a Pug/Chinese Shar-Pei mix, was owner surrendered because they were moving. Sadie's former owner informed the shelter that Sadie has lived with children and is very tolerant of them. However, Sadie has never lived with other dogs or cats before.

Sadie wrote: "This is Sadie. She’s a 10 year old Pug mix. Owner is surrendering because they had to move and they cannot keep the dog.

Per previous owner: Has lived with children ages 10-12 and always friendly and tolerant. No issues seen.
Per previous owner: Has never lived with cats, will chase them.
Per previous owner: Has never lived with dogs. Prefers to be the only dog.
Per previous owner: Indoor. Housetrained. Independent. Quiet. Couch Potato. Trained with treats. Knows sit, down and shake."

Sadie writes: "Queen of the Jungle, that's me! I'm a confident, outgoing gal who likes to spend his time with people. Since I like to be Queen, I'd do best in a home without other cats and dogs. Take a walk on the wild side and take me home today!"

Sadie's adoption fee has been sponsored. Please consider giving Sadie a home life again. Her circumstances are out of her control and we know she'd be most grateful if someone gave her the chance at being a beloved pet again. A couch of her own would be nice, too!

  2. Sadie is so adorable. It is a shame people give up their pets so easily. I hate to see them moved from home to home. I hope she finds the perfect place soon. Thank you for sharing

  3. Hopefully this will help get her adopted. Ten is pretty old for a dog. Alot of people look for puppies. If I got a dog, when it freezes over, I'd choose an older one that's already been trained.
