It's our Adopt a Pet Post Meet Sammy the Dog!
We're starting a new section on Powered by Mom Adopt Don't Shop!
We will feature a dog or cat, we're hoping to do this at least once a day but we may start out slower depending on our time. We want to encourage people to check out their local shelters if they're looking for a pet. We'd also like to encourage those looking for pets to remember to research the breed of dog and to really think about whether a pet will fit into their family.
Meet Sammy!
If you're not going to have it be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it's a lifetime commitment of love!
We will feature pets across Canada and the United States so read on and feel free to share, you never know who you will reach!
Are you looking to adopt a new member for your home? Consider Sammy, he is a 4 year old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix who came to BC SPCA because his owner could not care for him any more. Sammy has not had much obedience training and would benefit from this. Sammy was originally a California rescue dog and was puppy pad trained, so will need a very patient adopter to take the time to potty train him properly. Sammy is a very loving little guy who will make a wonderful companion. Please ask staff if you are interested in adopting him.
If Sammy is not the perfect match for you, I recommend that you go and check out the other available pets that BC SPCA as available.
Wonderful and admirable addition to your blog! Thanks for helping these deserving souls find forever homes!
