Why all All Natural Soy Candles Are Great Gifts
So a few weeks ago I was starting to think of gift ideas for a few friends and the most elusive…. Teachers. Luckily, I don’t have to do gifts for my 15 year old’s teachers, just my 6-year-old, so that narrows it down. I went through the list of things in my head, gift cards, mugs, a box of chocolate etc. Then I came across Madison Valley Candles and I knew right away these were perfect.
Ok, I’ll admit when I saw the holiday candles, I saw the Cranberry Apple and I wanted it for myself (which I did do, I mean, we all need a little something for ourselves right?).
When I saw that Madison Valley Candles were soy and I got really excited. Not for the people I’m giving the gifts to, even though I’m sure they will be happy with that as well. I was excited because I needed something natural in my house. Right now my household is going through a big shift and anything that is sprayed, burned etc needs to be natural.I don’t think I’ve come across more than a few people that don’t like essential oils, so that’s a huge plus for these candles. Using them in place of chemicals is a huge benefit. I mean, imagine lighting a candle in the dining room knowing that it’s not only organic and using essential oils that smell amazing. So amazing that a friend could have sworn I was baking something when she walked in the house.
Why All Natural Soy Candles are Awesome:
Soy wax burns up to 50% longer than paraffin wax candles (your regular everyday candle). 100% all-natural soy candles may cost a little bit more than the paraffin ones, but overall you are actually saving money. You save because this candle will last longer than the other one.
Burn clean. This means that there isn’t as much black soot when you burn the candle. Who wants soot all over the place? If you have a candle close to a wall that has paraffin in it, eventually you can discolor the wall. Nobody has time for that kind of mess
The scent stays longer. This is due to the lowering melting point of the soy wax and the use of essential oils.
I got three candles as gifts for others. One is going to be for a teacher. I love the candle idea, but also want to take it up a notch just a little more. So I’m going to include some homemade candies in a mason jar. This way they have a little bundle of natural joy with their snack. Chocolate and an all-natural candle during the holidays, perfect combo.
