  1. I learned WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RD AND A "NUTRITIONIST"?

Unlike RDs who are regulated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the title "nutritionists" is not well regulated. In many states, anyone can call themselves a "nutritionist" regardless of their education and experience. This means you can't always be sure that "nutritionists" are qualified health professionals.
