About TruSense
TruSense is family-friendly smart home technology for seniors that brings assurance to loved ones and helps older adults stay in their own homes longer. Using in-home sensors, TruSense is non-intrusive and does not require a wearable or pendant to deliver insights into daily activities. The solution also measures variables that can impact health and safety such as home leak detection, temperature and even vehicle and personal GPS tracking. TruSense also tracks caregiver visits and uses alerts and notifications based on customized user thresholds that can trigger a text or notify our 24/7 emergency response team.
If you have older parents or worry about your grandparents, you will appreciate that TruSense seeks to reduce the burden on caregiving family members (that are trying to balance career and children too!) and avoids costly assisted living fees while offering peace of mind. With Assisted living costs in the thousands per month, many families are looking for alternatives that stave off the expense of an assisted living facility while enabling their loved ones to stay at home and retain some independence, while bringing some peace of mind to caregivers and families.
The TruSense system uses a combination of self-sticking wireless sensors, Amazon Echo Dot integration and GPS technology to discern the way a person lives—time spent sleeping, in the kitchen, or getting out of the house. When a pattern shifts, TruSense notices and updates the user and the circle of people who they’ve chosen via custom notifications. It can even notify the 24/7 emergency monitoring center through a voice integration with the Amazon Echo Dot. TruSense can also report how much time caregivers or other visitors spend in the home (something that can become sticky when they bill at a high hourly rate).

My sister-in-law is a fabulous caretaker of my medically disabled brother.
Laura Harrison says
My neighbor is elderly and there are caregivers that stop in his home daily. I don’t think they spend enough time there to get anything done. They are supposed to clean, assist in bathing him, do his laundry, visit etc…I watch them come and go. Sometimes they are only there 15-20 minutes. Maybe this could help monitor their time there.
I rarely see his family come.
Sabrina Foster says
No, I am not a caregiver to anyone except myself. I am disabled & this would help me tremendously.

No, my parents have both passed away. But I have an elderly aunt.
Deborah Caudill says
I am 63 and disabled, but my son moved back home to care for me.
My younger brother, my son and I take care of my 94 year old mom. I can’t help out much, but do sit with her when they are both out. My brother lives with her, but my son and I live about a mile away.
Chris L says

My husband’s elderly parents moved closer this past summer so my husband and I manage a number of their bills, issues, in addition to some meals, care, etc. His father has early dementia and his mother has a degenerative spinal disease that makes her greatly disabled so I am interested in the trusense kit
Mia says
I am not a caregiver for parents or grandparents but know many people that are.
Lauryn R says
I would necessarily call myself a caregiver, as my dad is still pretty young (60). My three kids and I live with him though, and I try to take care of everyone if I can! 🙂
