The site is effective by spreading your views and allowing others to decide whether this provider is suited for their medical needs. I seek treatment through the VA healthcare system, which I don’t believe participate in his website, but it seems helpful for those in the civilian sector.

I live in a larger city with some many doctors. When I need a doctor I often use recommendations from others. This would be a great way to see how others feel about doctors and it would help me make better choices in doctors.

I do not want to feel rushed by a doctor, I also don’t want to wait forever in the waiting room or exam room. I feel that doctors over book all the time, I would like a doctor who knows their patient limit for a day.
Phoenix says
I want doctors who take the time to listen & take what I have to say seriously. Word of mouth reviews will definitely influence whether I make an appointment in the first place.
Michele Ash says
I look for a Doctor who is Honest, Caring, A People Person, Has a terrific Bedside Manner, Friendly, and explains all your questions in full and makes sure you understand! I have found that certain Doctor in Dr. William Taddonio! He has been my family doctor for years and years! I actually love this doctor! He takes the time to answer my questions, Does a thorough exam, he has a comical side and he’s on the money all the time with the diagnosis! I would use drsocial.org, if and when Dr. Taddonio leaves his practice or If I am searching for a Specialist for a certain condition. Thanks so much, Michele 🙂
Carolyn Massey says
I needed this site when we moved to Indiana. Went to several doctors here and they were morons, I knew more than they did. I have insurance now and have a network that I have to go through but that’s ok. I found a great doctor not too far from me and he took his time and listened. When looking for a doctor I check around to see f he has a good reputation, knowledge and price of office calls.
Denise Sanders says
This site will help me out a lot because i’m constantly looking up reviews before seeing a new doctor. I like to find out what other patients think about how good the doctor is or even their bedside manner. I also think the forums are a great source of information.
Debbie Welchert says
Word of mouth is what influences me to find a doctor or I would go to a doctor my own doctor recommends. So far this has worked for me. I have had the same doctors for years.

Jennifer Hedden says
The largest influence on me when choosing a doctor is reviews from others. I usually ask friends and family and then search reviews online. I want a good doctor who is caring and doesn’t just rush me out of the office who takes time to discuss my health and treatment with me.
Jacqueline Dunkin says
What influences me the most when I am searching for a doctor is knowledge. I want someone who will know the answers and if they don’t, will help me get them. I want someone who believes in people, who wants to help people find answers, treatments, and if possible, cures. I want someone who will be honest and upfront with me. I want someone who doesn’t think they are better than me just because they have a degree or because they are rich. I want someone who cares, who is compassionate, who isn’t in it necessarily for the money, and would help me find ways to treat any condition, even if it meant going against the grain of modern medicine (meaning alternative medicine, etc.) I want a doctor that will not tell me one thing and/or very little, and then go behind my back and tell my primary care doctor (for example) something else. If there is bad news or something, have the balls to tell me up front and no side stepping. I don’t know if this doctor exists, but if there is one, especially a primary care in the Frederick, MD area PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! 🙂
Alicia P says
Probably the largest influence on me is what people I know have to say about a doctor. If I’ve had personal experience with them, I can judge somewhat on that, but for doctors I’ve never visited, it all comes down to who those I trust think are good doctors.
