Powered by Mom Blog wants to know are your windows costing you money?
Do you feel a draft coming from any of your windows? If you are you are literally letting money fly out the window. It is well worth it in my opinion to do what you can to prevent heat going out your windows. You can seal them up for the winter with kits I’ve seen in hardware stores. I’m sure you know the ones with the plastic that you put on the inside to seal it up. I’m sure most of you have seen that done at one point or another, it’s not the ideal solution if you live somewhere that has cold winters. Downside is if you need to let in any fresh air you couldn’t as the window is sealed over with the plastic unless you want to take down the plastic and seal it up again.
The winters here on the west coast aren’t as cold as other places but I’m so happy that when we could afford it we replaced our windows which were as old as we were 30 years old that is and most definitely were not double pane windows and they did not have a seal on them at all! If you live in areas that are even colder in the winter like Boston, New York, Chicago etc.. you are going to want to replacement windows Chicago, New York and Boston people 🙂 when you can afford it that is.
What do you do to save money during the winter on heating bills? Leave us a comment we’d love to hear from you!
