When I moved to the Kansas City area I was aware of Kansas City BBQ. I discovered this whole culture around Kansas BBQ and I loved it. I have a large, but simple charcoal grill. Now, I can get the sweet, bold, and savory smokey flavors in my dishes that really define tasty BBQ. Plus, these Authentic BBQ flavors are achieved quickly and easily.

Getting the Flavors Just Right
Bear Mountain BBQ knows their BBQ. Barbequed meats and veggies just don’t taste quite the same without the smokey BBQ flavor. I loved that with these pellets I could not only match what I was cooking with the type of premium craft pellet blend to use, but the pellets add the smooth, sweet, balanced, or bold flavors that it needs. But really, all of these blends added amazing flavor to all of my food. It would be amazing with this incredibly delicious Lime Honey Chicken Kebabs recipe.
Authentic BBQ Flavor from ANY Grill
I have a decent-sized Weber Charcoal grill that I love. It cooks incredibly well and is easy to maintain. I prefer charcoal, though it does take longer to cook, for that traditional grilled flavor. But these wood pellets work on any grill at all. Once my coals were glowing and ashed over I simply tossed a handful of pellets over them and let them go to work. For gas grills, I imagine you can use the tinfoil packet method. With this, the pellets are simply contained within a foil packet and placed on the heat to smoke.
Smokin’ Good Flavor
You can really tell once the pellets start smoking. There is a dramatic increase in smoke output (so warn your neighbors ahead of time Ha!) and it smells like wood smoke. The pellets will burn up too quickly if you place them directly on flames, but on coals or in foil, they slowly smoke to release those perfectly blended flavors. I do like tailoring what I cook to the type of pellet I use. The Gourmet Blend BBQ pellets were perfect my stuffed peppers. It’s just smokey enough to lend that real BBQ flavor but balances it perfectly with the sweetness that complements the peppers. The Sweet blend was ideal for these Mojito Lime Chicken and Strawberry skewers and lent a smooth sweet smokiness that really added the perfect final touch to them.
Same Flavors in Less Time
The Savory Blend was perfect for these Berry Beer Soaked Turkey Legs. The rich, almost earthy blend really brought out the natural flavors of the dark meat and cooked these to perfection. For the ribs and chicken wings, I tossed a handful of the Bold BBQ flavored pellets on. I only seasoned the wings with salt and pepper to keep it simple, and the bold smokey flavors really shine through. They turned out beautifully and really didn’t need anything else on them. Even the kids enjoyed the simple and tasty wings despite their initial hesitance over tasting the “smoke” flavor. These little Bear Mountain BBQ pellets add a TON of flavor without having to wait all day for meat to smoke. I love being able to grill up my meal in no time and get those smokey flavors I want. While these can be used in smoker/pellet tubes as well, being able to use them right no my charcoal grill saves a ton of time and I get all those flavors I crave.
