Sponsored by: Baby Bullet  Hosted by: Powered by Mom Blog and a fantastic group of bloggers

Did you know that not only is the baby bullet wonderful for making healthy food for your baby but it can be used for so much more! You could create your own healthy flour of any kind you may want. You'll also love the Turbo Steamer that sterilizes and of course steams vegetables and can quickly make six hard boiled eggs!

Even if you don't have a little one in the house any more you could still find yourself loving the Baby Bullet which is what happened to me. I agreed to review the Baby Bullet even though my daughter is 12 years old as I had some other ideas as to what I'd like to use it for. I have to say though that now that I have tried it I wish I had this system when my daughter was a baby and toddler it would have been wonderful for making her fresh and natural baby food!

However the Baby Bullet System and the Turbo Steamer are still fantastic for those of us with older children or without children. I have been wanting to try out a few different things such as making healthier food for our dogs so that I know exactly what they're getting is good for them and has nothing toxic in it. So I've been pureeing some of our foods such as the meat and veggies and throwing in some brown rice and our dogs have loved it, especially the little chihuahua as it's easier for him to eat and it's tasty food.

I also wanted to try out a few things for myself such as making cauliflower mashed potatoes obviously without the potatoes. I eat quite healthy but I'm trying to change things up as I've come to a plateau so I'm trying to eat even more vegetables and less processed foods and switching things out. I have been wanting to try the cauliflower version of Mashed potatoes and I was finally able to do that with the Baby Bullet! I steamed some cauliflower with garlic, pepper and a bit of salt and put it in the bullet with some butter and some water.

cauliflower

A lot of recipes I saw for the mashed cauliflower called for cream cheese but I didn't have any in the house. I decided since I wanted more healthy choices I would just try it without the cream cheese even though the recipes didn't call for a lot. Well I was not disappointed I ended up with a blend that does indeed look like mashed potatoes, check it out!

mashed cauliflower

Let me tell you this was yummy, I love cauliflower so this was perfect for me. You can't expect it to taste like mashed potatoes as it's cauliflower but it has that texture so it's a nice healthy substitute. As I mentioned I put water in there when used the Baby Bullet as I found it needed a bit of liquid. I used the BatchBowl but I could have used the short cups instead since I only made one bowlful. It was so delicious I ate this whole bowl myself.

I've also pureed frozen fruits for a nice blend with my Greek yogurt so now I don't have to buy those ones with the fruit in it and I can control how much sugar goes into my yogurt. It's also a great topping for ice cream or on pancakes 🙂

As I mentioned I also really like the Turbo Steamer. I was able to make six hardboiled eggs in no time flat and they came out perfectly. This may not sound like a big deal but I'm known for leaving the boiling water and eggs on the stove and forgetting about them. I even had some explode because I forgot about it so long oops. My office is downstairs in my home and the kitchen is upstairs, even with a timer I can't hear it when I'm downstairs. I'm always busy doing more than one thing so that's why this happens. However not with the Turbo Steamer as it shuts off when it's done yay!

Overall I give the Baby Bullet System and the Turbo Steamer a 5 out of 5 stars for ease of use, convenience, versatility and for helping me to feed us healthier food to my family and our pets!

  1. I would def be using that steamer regularly for our wee one... we tend to steam most of our veggies in a colander over a pot of water..

  2. My grandsin has severe allergies. Milk protien, soy, nuts and my daughter is on a very restricted diet while breastfeeding him. This would be great when she introduces food to him. It will eliminate all the preservatives and keep only the yjings he CAN have in yhe foid he is eating.

  3. I think I would try to be creative as possible and make combinations that you don't see in the store. Especially fun fruit purees for my baby and even for my toddler. And to be able to make it and store would definitely help once my new little one is here! Not going to lie - the whole egg idea really has me curious too!

  11. I'm glad I read this review because I was wondering if I could use the baby bullet without an infant in the house. I eat healthy too, so I love the yogurt idea. I could think of many use's for this.

  12. I would make some baby food but it would also be great to give my daughter 'adult food' that she can't quite chew yet without the worrying of her choking. That way she can enjoy all foods without feeling left out.
