  6. My favorite memory of my dad when I was a child was when he showed up at my award ceremony in third grade. He never made it to many of the school events because he was always busy running his business. So it meant a lot that he surprised me that day when I saw him in the crowd of parents 🙂

I remember one time he took my brother and I for a super duper mountain biking trip that took all day and it was awesome. My dad always had time for us.
I loved going to work with him and riding in the big semi and then going to all the farms (delivering hay) and meeting all the animals and farmers.

  19. My favorite dad memory is the time he drove me to my junior high prom. He knew I was nervous, because I wasn't social to begin with and my gown was a 20 year old hand me down and my mom had styled my hair and makeup to match. I was a train wreck, but my dad made me feel confident enough to hold my head high and march into that dance and have fun with my friends.

  37. My fav memory is probably really a series of memories that got mashed together because when I think of my Dad I always think of the great camping trips we used to take as a family. Looking back I can see that we always went camping because with 6 kids (3 adopted and 3 natural) we didn't have the money for hotels or theme parks but I remember that Daddy always made it the "best vacation ever" just by being silly (or gross) depending on the situation. Once while we were camping we kids were fishing while Mom and Dad made dinner. When they finally called us over they announced "Snot Soup" for dinner! Yuck! Turns out it was just all the "cream of ..." soups we had in the cabinets at home that we needed to use up. It was Awesome soup after we all saw the cans 🙂

  42. My dad was the funniest man I ave ever known. He passed away 5 years ago on the 15th (yes, 🙁 it landed on father's day this year). My favorite childhood memories of him were the hilarious pranks and jokes he would play on my siblings and I. I remember being in 4th grade and opening my lunchbox every day wondering what kind of ridiculous item would be mixed in with my food. Some times I would find a sandwich, apple, can of peas, a juice box and a pack of fruit snacks. Sometimes a lunchable and a rock... lol sometimes a potato. He would always leave a post it in there too with a note on it like "Have a GRAPE day". I miss him so much. He left me with his sense of humor though and I couldn't think of a better quality to have.
