Berry Sorbet Recipe

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 Scoops 1x

  • 2 Cups of Mixed Berries
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 3/41 Cup Sugar

  1. Bring the water and sugar just under boiling over medium high heat. The sugar should fully dissolve and the mixture should be clear (you just made Simple Sugar!)
  2. Add the mixed berries and simple syrup to a food processor or blender. Pulse until fully combined and the berries have broken down to liquid form (the seeds will still be intact for the most part).
  3. Transfer the mixture to a plastic container with a wide base (such as these Glade Entree Containers). This will ensure the mixture freezes quickly and allows room to “scoop” the mixture with ease when you’re ready to eat.
  4. If you don’t want the seeds in the final product, run the berry and sugar mixture through a sieve.
  5. Place the lid on the container and freeze overnight.
  6. The berry sorbet will keep for 5-7 days, without freezer burn, if stored properly.
  7. NOTES – Normal Simple Sugar is a ratio of 1 to 1, however the berries have natural sugars so I recommend cutting it back to 3/4 cup.
