  1. I help anyone in need that I can. I donate to the local Goodwill and most charity drives, especially the ones where the local children come door to door. I support their efforts.

  2. There are really so many great things anyone can do! Those posts are really wonderful that people have posted! I do the Angel Tree gifts at Christmas & help people in line at the grocery store if they're short money or even their store rewards card. Also if a friend from church hears of anybody coming out of rehab & moving into their own apartment, I help out with anything I can: linens, silverware, glasses, plates, bowls, mugs, pancake turners, wooden spoons, clothes, shoes, knick knacks. We're always giving clothes to Goodwill too, as we go to yard sales & buy clothes that we think any of us would like & sometimes it just ends up not being something we like, so we donate!

  3. I am a nurse working with older adults many of which have little money and family support. I make sure to bring in clothing and toiletries for them whenever I can get my hands on extras.

  4. I gather school supplies and donate to the schools to pass out to the kids who can't afford supplies. I also sponsor a family for Christmas every year to be sure they all, including parents get a good christmas.

  5. Our family are givers! My husband & I support a few organizations & 2 of them have their contributions directly taken out of our checking account every month. One of the organizations is CBN. We give toys, clothes, books, etc. as donations to the Goodwill & Red Cross. We are supporters of Toys for Tots. We also give canned food to the Boy Scouts so they can give it to the local food pantry. 2 of our daughters help their fellow church members by babysitting, giving rides, etc.

  7. I am a true friend, and will drop everything when there is a serious need - (like, I will fly to another state to help a sick friend, etc.) --- but on a daily basis I believe in being kind and doing something that will make someone smile (both friends and strangers).

  9. I don't like to talk about small acts of generosity because I don't like calling attention to myself, so I'll just say that I smile at others. 🙂

  10. We donate all of our out grown and unwanted clothing to local families in need. We've been in need and have found help so we like to pay it forward when we can.

  12. I don't do a great job of paying it forward right now. I've been sponsoring a child in Africa for years but nothing on a day to day basis. Hope to change that.

  14. I often donate to Goodwill or to people on Freecycle, I support a soldier and I give away handmade jewelry around Christmas each year. I also try to be extra nice to retail employees as I used to work retail and it is a very hard and thankless job.

  15. I like to offer to babysit for young mothers so they can have a day to go get their hair cut or mani/pedi. Just something I wish someone had done for me when I was a young mother.

  20. During Christmas time I send Christmas cards to those who need some cheer the most through the Angel Card Project. They send you a list of kids, shut -ins, soldiers, people who've had a rough year and don't have much a holiday in general. In the spring I make it a point to buy a huge box of food to donate the saturday before Mothers day through the USPS Stamp Out Hunger. Simple way to help out. I also send send out expired coupons to military families that can still use them at their commissary. But I try and Practice Kindness whenever possible.
