Currently, my aunt has been diagnosed with cancer and it was such heartbreaking news for all of us to find out. Shortly after, her husband left her and her daughters have now been married off and she gets very lonely. She went through chemo and in our culture, our long hair is a sign of beauty and so she was very sad about so I decided to shave my head as well for support to know that I will always be there for her and that she is not fighting this fight alone. Hopefully, the cure for cancer will one day be found!

My Step Mom and Grandpa both died from Cancer. I was only about 15 when my gpa passed and it was really hard for me, especially since I was working in a retirement home at the time (I had to quit because I couldn’t watch the people there without thinking of him everyday). I was 22 and just had my first daughter when my step mom passed. It was really had to watch her go through the nastiness of cancer and I thank God that her struggle is over and that she’s with the Father now 🙂

Lisa Vazquezanzua says
Yes I have. My dad has pancreatic cancer and he found out a few days ago that it spread to his liver. The doctor told us that he has about 6 months to live. I wish I could be with him right now but he lives in Oregon and I live in California. And when he found out he has 6months left he told me to move up there so me and my kids can spend whatever time he has left with him. And I just don’t have the money to move up there or I would be there right now. My mom passed away a few years ago from a heartattack. So we didn’t have time to say goodbye but with my dad its different. We can be there to support him, spend time with him, let him know how much we all love him. And when he found out he has 6months left he told me to move up there so me and my kids can spend whatever time he has left with him.

My grandmother had cancer in her intestines. Luckily it was detected on time. She had surgery, where they removed part of her intestine. After more than 10 years, we can say she won the fight against cancer.
