Buy a Bouncy Castle and Jump for Joy!
Creating a mega-fun environment for a kids’ party or event might seem like a daunting task, especially if there are different age groups and personalities to cater for. However, if there’s one thing that ALL kids love, it’s unbridled fun…and that’s where a bouncy castle comes into play! Think back to the last time you were on an inflatable castle: was it a terrific surprise? Was it great being ‘free’ to fool around? Did you spend ages on it? Were you disappointed when your turn was over? If the answer is yes to any of the above, then there’s good reason to consider buying a bouncy castle for your next children’s event. Before you invest, here’s some advice on why to buy and what to look for:
Suitable for more than one occasion
Bouncy castles are an awesome addition to a kids’ birthday party but don’t forget: they are also very valuable for other occasions where kids need to be occupied for a significant amount of time. Perhaps a wedding, BBQ or a corporate function? Just make sure there’s always an adult volunteer at hand to keep an eye on them!
Fun for different ages
It’s easy to think that bouncy castles are suitable for younger kids only…but with the right size and theme of bouncy castle, you can cater for lots of different ages — even adults. The key to this is to implement a rota system — older kids go on together and everyone can play safely with their own peers.
Create a talking point and new memories
Think about it: if you were the kid who hosted a party with an enormous bouncy castle, you’d be the most popular kid in school! A castle can be a real talking point, even for months after the event. Meanwhile, all the kids are creating new fun memories which, of course, will likely be brought up long after the event is over.
Hours of fun means value for money
A bouncy castle means you are providing hours of fun for a one-off cost of hire or purchase. If you think you might be using the castle again in the future then it’s worth considering buying the product. Larger retailers like Tesco Direct stock a good range of different castles with different features including slides and detachable sunroofs (who knew?)!
What to look for when you’re buying
OK, so you’ve taken the decision to buy a bouncy castle. Now consider:
Theme and type – what kind of castle would your child like? Are there any favourite themes or characters?
Size – do you have enough width and roof height to accommodate a castle? Some manufacturers advise that you’ll need at least a metre of space surrounding the castle for impact mats.
Ease of safe assembly – make sure you have the know-how to inflate and secure the castle. Quality bouncy castles should come with an air blower, mooring pegs and repair kit.
Once you’ve done your research, you’ll be happy to know that a bouncy castle doesn’t take long to inflate. And it won’t take long for the fun to begin, either…
