There are numerous options when it comes to children's bedding. You can get bedding to go on a crib for a new baby, a toddler bed or a bed for an older child. Pick from multiple colors depending on the gender of the child and patterns based on what the child likes. Accessories like curtains and lamp shades are usually included with bedding sets.

Crib Bedding
Whether you know the gender of the baby or not, you can still choose adorable bedding that is sure to look wonderful in the nursery. From a simple blue to a pretty pink, you can look at a variety of themes and designs for the new baby. Many of the bedding sets come with everything needed to set up the crib. When you pick a theme, it normally comes with wall decorations. These decorations blend with the colors and design of the bedding. An example is the animal safari theme. It includes a comforter, sheets, wall hangings and a diaper stacker that all have a zebra print.

Boys Bedding
When it comes to bedding sets, the colors for boys are typically more blue, green and red. They revolve around sports themes as well as action figures. There are also plain bedding sets such as black, blue or brown. The boys bedding sets don't have all the frills that girls sets have. However, there are some sets that have a playful theme like jungle animals or pirates. Polka dots and stripes are common patterns for boys bedding sets.

Girls Bedding
If you have a girl, then you know that she will probably change her mind about the bedding in her room several times. Toddler sets normally have themes like princesses or ponies. AS girls get older, the bedding sets mature to a point where there are fun designs with bold colors and brilliant patterns. A popular color with older girls is bright pink. Peace signs are a common decoration. Black is a color that is often used in bedding sets because it blends well with any color, and it brings out the bright colors that are used like lime green or teal.

  1. They have some nice stuff here! My granddaughter's birthday is at the end of the month, and I think I'll order a set for her - they are so pretty! They even have furniture - the Avalon Bookcase is so pretty!

  2. I never really decorate my two daughters' room. Since I have a little granddaughter now, I been sending my oldest daughter every cute idea I come across to decorate her room. There are so many cute themes to chose from! She better choose soon or I'll send her Dad over to start painting her room so I can hang the curtains!!? 🙂

  3. I miss decorating my children's rooms. But I can remember back when my youngest daughter turned 8 & she flew to Tx to visit her father for 2 weeks, I redecorated her room so when she came home it was a big surprise! Our favorite saying at bedtime is sweet dreams & I had found a whole bedding ensemble with that saying so it became the focal point. The colors were rainbows & clouds so I was able to use all kinds of colors to add pizzazz. It was great when she came home & she was so surprised! Now I'm a grandma & we just redecorated her old bedroom for her new baby (& moved to a larger bedroom) & we had a lot of fun! She chose to paint the walls with tree, animals, grass, sky, sun, darker sky, moon & stars. It came out beautiful 🙂
