This Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole is great for all of those times. After all who can resist the cinnamon-ny smell of such scrumptiousness?
I'm practically considered a Goddess when I make this Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole. Somehow though that Goddess status fades quickly when it comes time to doing the dishes after baking this yumminess.
I think I will withhold the Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole servings until after my family does the dishes from now on. How much do you want to bet the dishes will get done and quickly if I do that? 😉

One of the fun parts of this casserole is that you can customize it with a few additions. Of course, I recommend our simple icing topping, but you can go all out with other items if you wish. Below are just a few ideas that can be added to the casserole before baking.

I told it was easy, am I right or am I right. There's absolutely no point in counting calories in this recipe just enjoy it and go for a run later. Your tastebuds will thank me even if your waistline doesn't.
Can you freeze the French toast casserole?
Yes you can freeze it but if using vacuum seal bags choose a gentle setting. I would recommend warming it up in an oven though in case it's a bit soggy after defrosting it. I like it a bit toasted on top anyways.
What are the best cinnamon rolls to go in a French Toast Casserole?
While there are a lot of options out there, the easiest is typically a can of ready-to-cook cinnamon rolls. We often reach for brands like Pillsbury or Immaculate Baking. They are consistently great in flavor and affordable.
You can use baked cinnamon rolls from the bakery or ones you have as leftovers. If doing this, I recommend leaving them out for 12 to 24 hours to get a bit stale. That helps them soak up the custard base better.
What should I serve with French Toast Casserole?
While I love this sweet treat all by itself, it can be a bit too sweet of a breakfast for some. It is great to serve alongside your favorite breakfast proteins. Add a side of sausage, ham, bacon, chicken, or eggs to round out the meal. Of course, some fresh fruit on the side is always a plus!
