These classic books for kids are incredible! First, let's talk about the illustrations and colors! Vibrant, bright, and enticing... perfect for grabbing kid's attention. Each book has unique drawings that represent the characters and storyline perfectly. The Frankenstein book has a great color combination going with purple, black, white, and yellow.

The Chesire Cat, Mad Hatter, and Caterpillar and all of the other character illustrations in Alice in Wonderland are pretty incredible. Take a look for yourself below. The primer subject for this BabyLit classic is colors.

  2. What a great list! It reminded me of when I was young and reading all these. I have to add the ones I don't have on my list for the Grandchildren. I love giving them books when they come over or just to mail to them when I haven't been up to see them. Thanks so much for sharing.

  7. Excellent list! I think I read them all when I was younger; my mom really encouraged reading and to this day I thank her for that. I did the same with mine.

  8. Maybe I should go back and read the BabyLit version of some of those. I have a lot of trouble reading older books because of the way that they are written. I know I've tried to read Dracula several times and I don't think I was ever able to get through it even though I love the old Bela Lugosi movie and like several other movie versions of it. I have a set of the first 6 Tarzan books. I've tried to read them through from the beginning. Somewhere around the beginning of the third one, I always get lost.
