Powered by Mom Blog brings you a giveaway just for Mom!
Open to Canada Only
I don't know about you but I hate writing with some pens, I won't name a brand but there is a cheap one out there that I just can't use. It's uncomfortable to hold, it's not smooth when you write and it runs out of ink way too quickly. The first time I wrote with a Parker pen many years ago I finally realized what my parents had been trying to tell me, it's true that quality does make a difference. However like many of you I'm sure we're on budgets and as a mom I very rarely buy for myself as there's so much more I could do and buying for myself is not at the top of my list. I'll buy for my daughter, hubby and even the dogs and cat before I buy for myself, crazy but it's true among most moms if not all.
Well as Mother's Day is coming up it's time for us to be spoiled a bit and I know I prefer things that will last a long time rather than the short term. Yes I like flowers but as I've told hubby in the past I appreciate the thought but I'd rather they not buy flowers, especially at a time when the prices go way up (ie Mother's Day, Valentine's day etc..) and if they really want to buy me a gift give me something that will last longer and something I will use all the time. I personally think the Parker IM Pen fits this bill perfectly and now that I own one I can honestly say they write smoothly, fits in my small hands (yes I have small hands lol) quite nicely and I think it's a personal and lovely gift for anyone!
This particular pen has a chrome trim and yes it's pink which means hubby won't steal it 🙂 and like many other models of Parker pens, is available at fine writing specialty stores throughout Canada as well as Basics, Wallacks, Novexco, Staples, Boutique Du Stylo, Charals, Le Parchemin and Staples. You can also find out more at the Parker Pen website HERE.
One lucky person will receive the Parker IM Pen in pink as pictured above open to residents of Canada 18 years of age and older. Don't wait for the giveaway to be over to see if you win though as mom or dad can use more than one pen so feel free to check out all the Parker pens and grab one now.
Please note this giveaway ends on Mother's Day so the pen will arrive afterwards but any mom will be thrilled to receive it at any time 🙂
This year my mother is living out of town so I will probably give her a call. connie danielson

My mother lives away. I will be bringing flowers to my grandmother this year.
I get all my kids together and have a "fancy" lunch and just enjoy them being excited. I love receiving all their handmade gifts from school and what they have created in their own secret time.
we're going to be going to the inlaws this year hang out with them should be a nice visit!!!
My whole family - my parents, grandmother, and my husband and kids - all go out for lunch together. Sometimes my brother and his wife and their kids join us if they can make it. It's nice to all go out together as a family, even though it is a big group!
Usually we as kids just go and visit my mom. We bring gifts and my sister makes a cake. Its always the same lol.
