Easy Budget-Friendly Treat

These chocolate-dipped Oreos are not only a budget-friendly treat but they dress up store-bought cookies that are a fabulous addition to any cookie platter. It’s super easy to make them and voila you have “fancier” cookie in no time at all. 

We love to have quick ideas like these chocolate-dipped Oreo cookies when we need to put something together in a pinch but don’t want it to look like we just took it out of a box and put it on a plate. These cookies fit the bill and even better you can “decorate” them with whatever toppings you might have in the cupboard. 

We always seem to have shredded coconut (because I love coconut anything) so it was the perfect finish to me for these chocolate dipped Oreos. Especially since I happened to have Caramel Coconut Oreos (oh so yummy) topping them with shredded coconut seemed to be a no-brainer. They were so delicious too, the perfect combination but your options are endless.

Can I use any flavour of Oreos? 

You bet you can! If you have regular Oreos you can top them off with whatever you want. For the holiday season imagine crushed candy canes on top of the chocolate or crushed nuts, sprinkles and well the possibilities are really endless.

Easy peasy right? Seriously it doesn’t get much easier than that and they are quite tasty. If you’re an Oreo lover you can have a lot of fun with these and your taste buds will thank you!

I’ve put these chocolate-dipped Oreos together just because I wanted to have some and am not surprised when my family gobbles them up. It brings these Oreo cookies to a whole new delicious level and I have fun trying out different toppings on them. My daughter likes them dipped in milk chocolate but I prefer semi-sweet chocolate but the choice is yours!
