Contigo Stainless Steel Travel Mugs and Water Bottles
As a working mom of two, I am constantly on the go. I understand the importance of convenience but unfortunately, convenience doesn’t always mean environmentally friendly! I bring along reusable bags when I go grocery shopping and also try to minimize water bottles and other disposable items when I’m out and about. Luckily, I recently tried out a few Contigo stainless steel travel mugs and water bottles and they are perfect for my busy schedule.
The Contigo Spill Proof Kids Tumbler has been so helpful in minimizing spills. It really and truly is spill proof! I know a lot of products claim to be but I have not had one issue with my two kids (age 3 and 8). And if you have kids, you know they can create some messes.
In the mornings, I don’t dare walk out the door without a mug of coffee for my commute and the Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Mug is amazing. I put so much creamer in my coffee that maybe it isn’t even coffee anymore but more like a dessert … unfortunately that means the coffee isn’t as hot but once I put it in this stainless steel mug, it stays hot the entire way to work – if it even lasts that long. Like the name says, the lid is easy to clean. Just be sure to give it a quick rinse after use to get rid of the coffee smell if it will be a while until you get to do a full cleaning.
Along with my travel mug, I always make sure I have my stainless steel water bottle for work. We have a water cooler in our office and instead of using our plastic cups, I love being able to have such a nice, reusable water bottle (also pictured below) that stays super cold for hours.
But I think my favorite Contigo product by far is the AutoSpout Straw Ashland Water Bottle with Infuser (pictured below).
So far, I’ve used lemons, oranges and blueberries with the infuser water bottle and it’s as yummy as it sounds. You can use whatever fruits and herbs you like to infuse the water. It also has a clip on handle so you can attach it to your gym bag.
As I said, being on the go sometimes means you can’t always be environmentally conscious…
but Contigo is helping to counteract our habit of using disposable products and I will always support this idea!
