  2. Because Christmas morning can be so crazy I make a coffee cake the day before and assemble an egg dish before going to bed. In the morning all I have to do is put it in the oven to bake while we open gifts.

  3. On Christmas morning my family makes a recipe passed down from my Great Grandmother who was born on Madeira Island, Portugal. I can't spell it but it's basically pork that has been marinating in vinegar with garlic, red pepper flakes and other spices for about a week. Then it is cooked slowly in a frying pan for a good 1 1/2 hours until just crispy. We also dip some nice crusty bread in the juices and fry that. I can't wait to make it! Now I'm hungry...lol

  5. I make Pigs-in-a-blanket,Pinwheels,country ham biscuits and sausage cheese balls. It has been a tradition for the last 40 years in my family. Even though I don't have much family left, I still do it every Christmas morning.

  7. Omelets or Waffles are the typical breakfast we have on special days - Holiday mornings tend to be sleep in and then we have a huge holiday meal to prepare and devour.

  8. Cinnamon Streusel muffins are a must. The last few years I've been hosting Christmas brunch. We've had Belgian waffles and egg casserole. My daughter, daughter-in-law and I make a buffet of brunch delights.

  9. Whatever the mood is that morning. I think I'm going to have my husband cook this time though. He makes an awesome egg, potato, and cheese burrito.

  11. On holidays, we usually have a big noon time meal, so I try to make it easy in the mornings! Most of the time I will make banana bread the night before to save for breakfast or I will make cinnamon rolls on a holiday morning.

  12. I usually start a breakfast casserole when I get home from midnight mass... and slip it in the oven while we open gifts. Mimosas, fresh fruit and casseroles, and a few pastries - and it's "eat up kids, because I'm not making lunch!" Dinner will come soon enough 😉

  13. We USED to go all out. Pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns. NOW, this year we are doing all healthy with a little indulgence. Turkey bacon, egg whites, whole wheat pancakes with agave, fruit
