Hearing is very valuable. Before my stepdaughter had tubes in her ears, everyone would have to shout in order to get her attention. She always though she was in trouble because we were shouting. As soon as the tubes were in, and the thick mayonnaisey stuff cleared out from behind the ear drum, we no longer had to raise our voices to hold a conversation, and she no longer felt in trouble over nothing.
