Powered by Mom Blog shares a Fun Infographic If Your Couch Could Talk!
I think this is a fun infographic and it makes me start to think what stories would our couch have if it could talk. I think that would depend on which of our couches we were talking about! We have one upstairs on our main floor which is the first leather couch we bought when I was pregnant with my daughter. I wanted leather so it would be easy to clean, especially with a baby that would show up at any time.
Some of what that couch would talk about would be quite similar to the infographic. It’s the couch I sat on when my daughter was just a newborn, where we oohed and ahhed over her, where I surrounded her in pillows while I sat next to her hoping she would sleep or where I nursed her and yes sometimes even where I changed her diaper with a change pad of course. This couch was her first furniture that she grabbed onto when trying to stand up on her own and holding onto while trying to walk around but not quite ready to let go and completely walk on her own. She has definitely eaten, spilled milk and more on this couch. She’s drawn on it, fell asleep on it, and now that she’s 12 years old it seems to be her couch more than anyone else’s now.
Although now she shares the couch with the pets, our chihuahua and our cat Oliver have now all had their time with this couch!
Our other couch is downstairs in our family room and how appropriate it’s really the family couch. It’s where we all gather to play games, watch movies and on rare occasions eat dinner while watching a movie. It’s where our guests have slept over as it has a hide-a-bed and where my daughter has had sleep-overs with her friends as the love sleep on that hide-a-bed and watching movies on the big tv. This couch would probably say it gets to have more people sit on it, sleep on it, hang around and watch movies and more.
It might also complain about all the snacks that are dropped on it when we have popcorns and goodies while watching movies. This couch also gets to double as the place for mom to fold laundry as she sits, folds and watches telvision, busy hands but off of her feet. It’s the couch that dad falls asleep on after a long day of hard work outside and he sits back, puts up his feet and tries to watch an entire movie. This couch is the younger one as we didn’t get it until our daughter was about six year’s old but it’s seen a lot, the girls getting bigger and taller, their tastes in movies changing, their tastes in friends and so much more.
If couches could talk they would have so many stories to tell! What would your couch have to say? Before I forget if you’re looking for home decor or furniture to add to your family story check out Super A Mart 🙂
