Crane Cool Mist Humidifier Review

Make Your Household Healthier with a Cool Mist Humidifier

Back to school means more germs coming into the home. The more exposure your child has with others, the more likely they will get sick. With a Crane Cool Mist Humidifier, you can actually make your household healthier.

I was fortunate enough to receive two Crane Humidifiers recently. This prompted me to do a little research on humidifiers and what they actually do for you. I found out that they can actually help relieve cold symptoms, quite possibly without any medication at all!

If you don’t actually own a humidifier, you should. My husband and I have used one for years in our bedroom because we like the noise. But now, they make whisper quiet ones.

Ultrasonic Cool Mist Droplet Humidifier

The Crane Ultrasonic Cool Mist Droplet Humidifier is small at only 7 inches. The increased moisture that it provides allows for easier breathing, relieves cough, cold, and flu symptoms as well as nasal congestion, dry cough, sinus irritation, nose bleeds, dry skin and dry hair. That sounds like a lot for one, small 7-inch machine. But it’s true.

The Droplet holds about a half a gallon of water and runs about 15 hours with one tank. It even turns off automatically when the tank is empty. The mist output can turn 360 degrees so that you can point the mist where you need it without having to turn the machine.

Unlike other machines, this one doesn’t require a filter. It uses less energy to run than a 20-watt light bulb.

Zeke the Martian Cool Mist Humidifier

Have a small child? Want a cute way to bring all the benefits of a humidifier into their space? Try Zeke! Zeke the Martian has all the same benefits of the Droplet humidor in a cute little package. I love his little antenna and his irresistible smile.

Crane-review-3

Zeke has a one-gallon take that easily fills under most bathroom sinks. He will run up to 24 hours, whisper quiet and automatically turns off when his tank is empty.

Crane-review-4

Your child will get a great night’s sleep with Zeke watching out for him, making the air moist for easier breathing and relieving any cold or flu symptoms without the use of medication.

As for his energy efficientness, Zeke uses about the same amount of energy as a 45-watt household light bulb.

  1. I love that these humidifiers turn off automatically when empty. I've had some in the past that kept running and I feared they would burn up when I forgot to turn them off.

  9. I didn't know that a humidifier helps with cold and flu, even without medicine. I have nasal congestion, and it's even worse at when it's cold outside. I always wondered if it would stay on long enough, especially if I slept for a long time, but 15 hours with only a half gallon a water is amazing!

  10. I learned that these will cut off by themselves when they run out of water. That they can run 15 hours on a fill-up of a much smaller amount of water than the older models use. They spray 360 degrees. That putting moisture in the air can actually help prevent upper respiratory issues. They emit a cool mist. They are small, cute and do not require a lot of space. Sounds like an awesome product that I would love to try.

  12. hard to believe that something that small will do so much. I have been reading about crane since I was told my the dr. to get a humidifier. I have COPD and was told that a humidifier and using eucalyptus oil would help with my breathing. and that the extra moisture in the air would be good for my dry skin.

I like that it is a cool mist and looks very easy to use....... and does not use a lot of electric

Thank you for the review and explaining everything so detailed!!!

  39. I've known about the Crane humidifiers for a long time. Both the childrens one - Zeke and the drop humidifier are adorable, sleek, and stylish. There's been to much humidity and moisture in the air this summer for me, so I wouldn't be able to use them during the warmer months. But the winter months, this would be perfect. One thing that I really like is that when the humidifiers run out of water, they automatically shut off, so you don't need to worry about them burning up or anything.

  40. I never knew about the droplet size humidifiers. How perfect for room to room. With my old one I'd be afraid it'd run out of water abd pose a fire hazard while sleeping. I love that these shut off automatically.

To be able to have something so portable to help me to ward off some of those infections would be great. What a great device to have for your home.

    1. My husband and I talked to our DR. about some sinus issues and she told us that we need to get either a humidifier or vaporizer for our room to help with those issues.
ALSO, in the winter there is too much static including causing static flyaway hair and drier skin, so having a humidifier would help with that too!
    2. Our 1st grandbaby is due in March and I'd love to help out by giving the cute children's one to our daughter and her boyfriend for when they need one. I remember when raising our 5 kids we use to have to sit in a steamy bathroom when they had bad cough or congestion so this would be MUCH nicer for baby and mommy & daddy too
