Powered by Mom and family are beyond excited about Despicable Me Minion Mayhem!
Have you heard the exciting news? "Despicable Me Minion Mayhem,” an original 3D Ultra-HD adventure and “Super Silly Fun Land,” an interactive play zone based on Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s international blockbuster “Despicable Me,” will come to life at Universal Studios HollywoodSM, the Entertainment Capital of L.A.SM in Spring 2014.
Despicable Me 1 & 2 are two of our most favourite movies, who doesn't love Gru and the Minions and the girls too of course. There are not always a lot of movies that the whole family can enjoy but Despicable Me fits the bill, we've had everyone from four year old nieces to my 12 year old daughter and of course hubby and I watching both the movies over and over. Naturally we had to get our own copies on blu-ray of both movies which we finally did this past Christmas, Despicable Me 2 made it into my daughter's stocking.
Naturally it makes sense that Universal Hollywood should have a Despicable Me ride and what fun it will be with the Minions! We're even more excited about this because, we're working, really, really hard to make a trip out to Southern California and if we do at the top of our list is of course a visit to Universal Studios and the first thing we want to do is Minion Mayhem!
Here's a bit more about "Despicable Me Minion Mayhem"
“Despicable Me Minion Mayhem,” will push the creative envelope with its innovative show content, sight gags, special effects and original 3D digital animation. The ride’s exterior environment will feature even more thematic and colorful creative touches that will literally place park guests inside Gru’s world.”.
The “Despicable Me” ride will welcome guests to Minion mayhem via an elaborately themed neighborhood, recreated with precision to mirror the familiar white picket fence homes, Gru’s ominous house and Ms. Hattie’s Home for Girls as if lifted from the film and surreptitiously placed within Universal Studios Hollywood. Whimsically themed queues, clever preshow videos and comedic dialogue will set up the fundamental plot: Gru schemes to create as many mischievous Minions as possible from human recruits.
Can we say wow doesn't that sound amazing?! So if you live in the area or are headed out to Hollywood any time soon you know you're going to want to spend at least a day at Universal Studios and check out "Despicable Me Minion Mayhem". I know we will if we make it there and we'll be happy to share our experience too. So it's Minion Mayhem or Bust for us 🙂

I know it sounds like a ton of fun Valerie. We will definitely be going on this ride when we get there, in late July woohoo will give you a shout out for sure 🙂
Oh how exciting! So grateful we live in LA as these two movies have been favorites for our family as well. With 3 girls ages 6, 13 and 16, finding a movie we can all REALLY enjoy together is indeed a challenge. And we have LOVED both of these. Definitely part of the family collection. 🙂 So we are looking forward to a day with the Minions... Give us a shout-out when you make it out here 😉
