Educational Entertainment Just in Time for Summer Break
Summer break can be busy and a ton of fun but then there are those rainy days and, should I say it, boring days. Those are bad words around our house! Never say you are bored or you WILL get a job around our home. Making sure our kids can entertain themselves with positive, beneficial activities is extremely important to me. As a mom, I have a lot to get done and can’t sit around playing Barbies all day with my five-year-old. I am about to share my secret!!
Osmo Educational Entertainment
Osmo Keeps my daughter busy with Osmo Educational Entertainment
My daughter has been in preschool for this past school year. Getting out of school for summer break has been a little difficult on both of us. I have had a few health issues plus I am gearing up to be gone for about two and a half weeks for vacation and business stuff. My daughter has become accustomed to having someone to play with non-stop with plenty to keep her occupied while at preschool. While mommy works, it is no fun being the only girl in the house and six years younger than your older brothers. Needless to say, I have heard a lot of sighs of boredom coming from my daughter… until Osmo arrived.
Here is My Secret!!
Osmo is an educational entertainment for children ages four to twelve. Osmo allows children to use smartphones or ipads for interactive, educational uses. Children can do activities based on their age and knowledge to learn more and more. That is especially important for my daughter considering she starts kindergarten in the fall. Teaching a child through activity always seems far more effective. Osmo does just that!

Mom’s Thoughts on Osmo
Typically, I am not a fan of children being glued to their electronic devices. Even though Osmo is using an iPad or iPhone, there is so much learning and creativity going on through the hands-on activities, your child is doing far more than looking at a screen. It has been amazing seeing how much my daughter has already learned while using Osmo. The apps are extremely user-friendly, even for the kids to operate on their own. My daughter is five and does not use electronic devices like many kids her age. So, she is pretty illiterate compared to most kids her age when it comes to knowing how to work the devices. She caught on in a matter of minutes and goes from game to game without needing assistance.
My son, who is 11 years old has also enjoyed playing it (when he can get his sister off it). The activities for his age range are great to keep the idle summer minds occupied so they can be ready when school begins. He and my daughter both really love the Monster Games and Masterpiece where they can draw pictures that wind up on the screen! It is like magic! They can also learn to draw new things by tracing what is projected on the screen. This really improves their hand-eye-coordination!
It is the most accurate interactive educational game system I have used with any of my children. Everything is real time and spot on!
