Family Travel - Experiences in Disney World!

This is just a teaser post. I decided that since we have traveled quite a bit over the years it would be great to share those experiences with you our readers. I will do some follow-up posts with some tips of what to pack, what to do your first day on arrival and a few more things.disneyworld

If you have any questions feel free to leave them and I'll try and answer them!

Here's a few of our pictures from our Disney World trip hope you enjoy them! You can see how happy my daughter was in every single picture, she had such a fantastic time! Here's one tip already as you may see from the picture that I'm, if going to Florida especially for folks like me from the west coast the humidity was killer on my hair. Have some good anti-humidity hair care products or wear your hair up LOL.

Naturally we saw all the beloved characters, I even remember running around trying to find them. We couldn't leave without seeing Jasmine and Aladdin, Tigger and of course Mickey and Minnie but we'll tell you more about them too. We are so happy we got all these pictures as we get to enjoy them for years to come and when we come back from Disneyland this year we can create a nice Disney album!

What are some of your places to travel to? Feel free to share we'd love to hear from you!

  3. I grew up going to Disneyworld every year. Then we would take my nephews. Now I have my own son to take. But he is autistic & his 1st (and only) trip was not great. He has lots of sensory issues & the change in routine was just too much for him. I think we will try again once he gets older. I hear Disneyworld really tries to work with special needs families so everyone can enjoy the experience.

  8. We're taking the whole family, grandparents included, this May. We've been saving for a long time to finally stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and do the dining plan. It's all to celebrate my oldest graduating high school. We all live for our three-year-old's reactions at Disney, though!

  11. I still love amusement parks and water parks as a grown-up. I would love to go back to Orlando and hit the Disney water parks that time.

  13. My grandfather believed that all children should have a good childhood. I have many good memories of Disney World because of his belief. A few years ago, after Grandpa died, I rode it's a small world. I made it all the way to the end before I started crying.

  14. Thanks for sharing your pics. Your daughter looks like she's having the time of her life. The first time I went to Disney World I was three years old and don't remember very much except for getting tons of splinters in my feet while playing on the Robinson Crusoe ship there. Received a visit from the Mickey Ambulance 🙂 Since then I've been fortunate enough to visit both parks with my children several times and now as a grandmother, I hope to visit Disneyland with my two granddaughters in the near future.

  16. I love Disney World! My family used to go once a year while I was growing up and it was always so much fun. I hadn't been back since I was about 12, but I took my daughter once in December 2012 and May 2013. She wasn't even two years old yet for both of those trips, so there was quite a bit of stuff she couldn't do. I can't wait to take her back in a few years when she's old enough to experience it all. In the meantime, our favorite place to travel isn't one specific place, but a whole bunch of different places: children's museums! There are so many quality children's museums all over the United States, and the ones we've been to so far have been a blast.

  17. DisneyWorld is the best! I went with my family when I was 6. Two years later my dad died. Those memories of Disney are so treasured. I went back this past year. I am now 40, and I cried when I saw Mickey. 🙂 It meant the worlds to me.

  19. I think it's great that your able to give these experiences to your daughter. She is at the perfect age for it, young enough to enjoy it and old enough to remember it. My daughter had brought my granddaughter to universal studios but she was so young that she doesn't remember going. She promised her and her sister that when she's done with nursing school they will go to Disney world . I hope she's able to keep that promise.
