I have to tell you that I love Dory, yes I do as I associate her with one of my fondest moments as a parent. When Finding Nemo first came out over 13 years ago it was one of the first movies I watched with my daughter. At not quite two years old at the time we took her she was mesmerized by everything she saw on that big screen, in fact Finding Nemo was the first movie we ever took her too, a stars and strollers showing of course. For a child who could barely sit still to eat my daughter watched this movie in awe, she giggled and she clapped, it was a fun moment to watch her watching the movie. Okay I admit she didn't sit for the movie but at least she wasn't running around, she stood almost the whole time, jumping a few times and those giggles were just pure joy. Naturally when it was released first on video (yes video cassette) we had to get a copy and even later when it was available on DVD and when they did a 3D version of Finding Nemo in 2012 we were back in the theatres watching it with my daughter and her younger cousin.

Okay I've gone on and on about Finding Nemo but I think you get why we're so excited about Finding Dory, the characters appeal to everyone of all ages. My daughter who is now 14 (almost 15) can't wait to go and see Finding Dory with us, amazing. To get you all as excited about it as we here, here's a teaser for you:

Today is the day that Finding Dory is officially in theatres! We're going to let my husband know that he really wants to go see it for Father's Day LOL, I don't think we'll actually have to talk him into it. So if you're a Dory or just a Finding Nemo fan we know you'll want to go and see this awesome movie too. When you do come back and let us know about it.

Oh and here's more fun, some activity sheets for you and the kids to do together!

  2. I still have my "Finding Nemo" VHS! And I loved "Finding Dory" just as much as I loved "Finding Nemo," and my children love both movies as well.
