Work off the calories, work up a sweat, and have loads of fun with StarLux Games you can play in the dark. So now with the sun going down at 5 PM, there’s still plenty of opportunities to play. Battle it Out
When the weather turns cold everyone has a tendency to get on everyone else’s nerves. It’s as inevitable as the kids refusing to eat their turkey dinner because it touched the mashed potatoes. Glow Battle is perfect for this time of year. There are all kinds of games they can play with this set. Give them a glowing bracelet, a soft glowing “sword” and have them play “Steal the Bacon”, “Death Race”, “Epic Glow Battle” or just let them beat on each other to solve disputes. There are so many different options with this game. My kids just love running all over trying to hit each other.
A Classic Game with an Upgrade
Do you remember the classic game of Capture the Flag that could last all day? Now you can play well into the night. Glowing beacons designate team areas, glowing bracelets mark team members, and the large glowing “flag” is your goal. Do you like to make a sneak attack? Snatching the opposing team’s flag out from under their noses? Maybe you like to just rush the other team in force and break through their defenses. Either way, my kids love to plan their attack and make their move. They set up inside the house with different rooms as team areas and sneak all around trying to lure the other team members away, to steal the flag.
A Newcomer to the Glowing Games
The Wizards & Werewolves game is super fun. So fun, in fact, that getting pictures of the game in play is practically impossible. My younger two kids started as wizards, in search of the glowing crystals. My oldest and I were the werewolves, hiding the crystals and trying to capture the wizards to “bite” them and turn them into werewolves like us. If a wizard finds the special crystal they can cure werewolves and turn them back into wizards. If the werewolves catch all the wizards the werewolves win. The wizards win when they find the huge ultimate moon crystal.
Multiple levels of Fun
There are 3 different levels of play that go up by difficulty. We started with the simplest game as mentioned above. It’s easier for the younger kids to understand. We plan for the next big birthday party, however, to up the level and amount of fun. In higher levels, you can designate an Alpha Werewolf and the Wizards must find the moon crystal and tag the Alpha. The other werewolves try to turn the wizards by tagging them twice now to turn them into werewolves and protect the Alpha. If a wizard finds a star crystal, they have the antidote for being “bitten” and remain a wizard. At the highest level, each wizard can select a specific class. These classes assign special abilities like teleportation, healer, and arch wizard allow for special abilities but the wizards only need to be tagged once to turn into a werewolf!
Make a Mix
Another thing I absolutely love about these fun glowing games is that you can combine them. Combine Capture the Flag with Wizards & Werewolves to play Team Red. This is an epic 3 team capture the flag type showdown. Combine Capture the Flag with Glow Battle to play BattleMaster. Use the soft battle swords to protect your land and flag. There are so many options and game variations that my kids never get bored. And what kid doesn’t love something that glows in the dark? My kids also love to make up their own games with their own (somewhat flexible) rules.
Glowing Games Get Moving
When it gets cold it is so easy to just laze around. It’s too cold to go out and do stuff. I know I get that way. I just want to stay in and snuggle under blankets watching Netflix or something. These games have been so much fun, and are even more fun with more people to play, that it’s easy to get drawn into the games. They are fun for kids and adults alike. I know this winter I am staying much more active than usual playing these Starlux Games with my kids. I know that loads of families will love this. It’s going to be an active holiday this year!

It’s neat when there are games that can be played by kids of different ages and can be adjusted to get more difficult for older kids. How fun to be able to combine the games.

I love these games. Now that it gets dark so early, this would be so much, and keep the kids up and going.
