Calling All Girls! At this unique all-girls program, ages 10-15 develop a passion for technology, design, and innovation - all while collaborating in a chic environment that emphasizes entrepreneurship, leadership, brand identity, and philanthropy.

I've been looking over the programs for these camps and they look amazing. If you know a girl who is interested in tech then you definitely want to check out these camps! I am going to look into this for my 13 year old daughter who wants to be a game designer.

While all iD Tech summer programs are great for girls, at Alexa Cafe, BIG ideas come to life in a uniquely cozy setting filled with cafe tables and beanbags. Courses include: Sugar Coded, Electric Latte, Game Swirl, Design Barista, Cinema Twist, Javaccino, Cafe Electric, Game Pop, and Cinemocha. Whether designing a sleek webpage, producing a film, coding creatively, or developing wearable electronics with lights and sensors, technology shouldn't be intimidating or uninspired. In the right environment, it's cool. Meaningful.

Life changing. Alexa Cafe isn't just an all-girls summer tech camp. It's a movement. Weeklong day and overnight programs are held at the University of Washington, Bryn Mawr, Georgia Tech, and select campuses nationwide . For help selecting the right course, please contact a Program Advisor at 1-888-709-TECH (8324) or 1-408-871-2227. You may also visit www.AlexaCafe.com or email [email protected]. 1. This sounds like a great idea. So often, girls get overlooked because tech is still seen by some as something only interesting to boys, but that is just not true! Giving girls a chance to shine is great!

  2. This is great to know about! It's been a boys world over here for the last 17 yrs....all tech too! I now have a little girl, and if she is like her dad and older brother, this will be handy!

  3. I've heard really great things about girls-only tech/STEM programs for this age group. They've done studies that have shown most girls learn better in a slightly different environment than what is normal for these fields (cooperative vs competitive, more aural/discussion-based learning, etc) and there have been great results so far with encouraging and advancing young women in STEM studies.

  4. Thanks so very much for the Fantastic Review on All-girls summer tech camp! This camp sounds Terrific! I love that they are an all girls camp and teach the girls about web design, etc. It's terrific how they go about learning in Alexa Café where they can bounce ideas off each other! My daughter is a bit too young for this and I did see there is one located in Bryn Mawr which is sort of closer to us than the others. I can't afford to send her this year anyway, however, once we get straightened out, we just may think about this for her! Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic review and all the information on All-girls summer tech camp with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂
