Powered by Mom Blog had to share this story!
Yes this is a story that I just had to share and I think you will all like it. It’s a quick video about how one person is helping others where she lives. This person is named Michelle (and not it’s not me but what a great name 🙂 ) Not only is she helping others but by putting just one post on Facebook she was heard and the end result is simply inspirational!
This is close to home for me literally as it is in Surrey, BC neighbours to where I live in Delta. I just have to drive 2 minutes and I’m in Surrey that’s how close to home this is. I also have to say as a result to a conference that I attended on April 30th where I was also a conference ambassador, I was surprised and impressed to learn that the biggest telecommunications company here in BC (possibly Canada sorry don’t know my stats lol) is also the biggest one to give back to their community. Telus is the company and they donate to charities & communities not only with monetary donations but volunteering, supporting events so that they, their employees and others in the community can also help others. I’m extremely impressed with all they do and can’t believe I just learned this recently. As you know Powered by Mom is a big supporter of all things community related, helping our community just being a part of a community and this is a wonderful community story!
In case you’re wondering, no Telus is not paying me to do this and in fact I’m not even a Telus customer but that’s another story and it’s not because I don’t like Telus lol/
Now watch this short yet fantastic and inspiring video!
Telus is dong even more and they are having a Day of Giving in Vancouver & Coquitlam, BC Saturday May 25! GO HERE if you’d like to find out more.
So, what exactly is TELUS Day of Giving? “We Give Where We Live” is the motto that guides our commitment to community investment and supports causes that are near and dear to our hearts. On May 25, 13,000+ TELUS team members, friends and family in 40 regions across the country will volunteer to support these causes and make a positive, heartfelt and lasting difference as they connect in the community. Past years’ activities have included helping out at children’s hospitals, sorting food bank donations and feeding the homeless, to name just a few!
