We all know that here in Canada fall and winter means temperatures drop and the heat goes on to warm us up on those chilly days. While Vancouver is known for it’s rain, that doesn’t do much for preventing the dry air indoors when we turn up the heat. I’ve been noticing how dry it is as my skin feels dry, my lips chap up if I don’t have lip balm on and that’s when I’m indoors. Between the cold weather and the heating, humidity levels naturally drop and we need some of that moisture for oh so many reasons. Thankfully the Dyson Humidifier that we received has resolved our dry air issues.
As someone who suffers from allergies I’m also very sensitive to when the humidity levels drop. My nose and throat dry up. Since our upper respiratory system which includes our eyes, nose and throat is lined with moist membranes that capture dust, viruses, bacteria etc.., if we lose too much moisture our system becomes compromised. I’ve always known that humidifiers could help I haven’t always been keen on them. Between their filters and blades of other humidifiers they just didn’t seem hygienic, thankfully with the Dyson we have hygienic humidity, the mist is 99.9% bacteria free. Yes!
While a Dyson Humidifier has a higher price point the benefits you and your entire family reap from it are worth it. For health reasons as mentioned, proper humidity levels are important. Another great example is for dry skin, if you’re Canadian you know what I mean when you can tell winter is coming when your skin starts to feel like it’s being stretched out because it’s so dry! Add sensitive skin like mine due to roseacea and you notice the difference even more.
Once you make the plunge to get a Dyson Humidifier you’ll wonder how you lived without it. It’s easy to put together, I did it myself and ‘m not known for my patience when it comes to assembling well anything. I usually ask my husband to do it but I had no problems with the Dyson. It’s easy to set up and you just use the remove to adjust the fan settings and the humidity levels.
It’s so easy to use that my quick video is just that quick and boring because there’s really not much to show as to how to work it. You just use the remove, adjust the fan and the humidity levels and you’re go to go.
I wasn’t kidding when I said it was easy to use right? Were you even able to hear the fan? It’s sooo quiet. That’s the Acoustically engineered for a night of quiet, hygienic humidification – Engineered for up to 18 hours of continuous use, and has a sleep timer for automatic cut-out. It is the world’s only Quiet Mark accredited humidifier.
To get to the water tank you just take off the top blade like looking part and you take the water tank out by lifting it out with the red handle. Take to your water source, fill and put it back in, easy peasy.

Now if you’re still not convinced the Dyson Humidifier is the best out there, here’s their super short video. Just look at the bacteria, that’s what many others are putting out into your air!
I put the Dyson Humidifier in my room at night as I’m the only one with allergies. However, during the day I put it in a central area of the house so the rest of my family can benefit from it. I suspect that I will be getting requests for one for my daughter’s room and my husband’s office. They don’t know it yet but there’s going to be another amazing Dyson item for us to benefit from very, very soon. Make sure to watch for that review!
