IRON3 resize

I'm so excited that I can finally share that my hubby and I were lucky enough to see a screening of Iron Man 3D last week and oh what a movie! In fact the movie premiers today the day I'm publishing this post. I should preface this with the fact that my husband is a lucky guy because he married a gal who loves action and science fiction movies and as a teenager I read almost all of the Marvel comics that involved the Avengers. Let me tell you Iron Man 3D is action packed, has some great humor that only Robert Downey Jr. can pull off as Tony Stark, awesome special effects and so much more. I'm also a fan of Robert Downey Jr., particularly in this role as I think that he and Gwyneth Paltrow were made for these roles. I simply can't imagine anyone but them playing Tony & Pepper.

My hubby also loves, okay maybe he wouldn't say love, is a fan of the Iron Man movies and well all the Marvel related story lines. We've seen them all Avengers (yes with Robert Downey Jr. too of course), Thor and more but right now it's all about Iron Man 3D. I was impressed with the special effects and the 3D was fabulous, I'm so happy we saw it in 3D as it gave it made the special effects that much more impressive.

Here's a teaser for you to watch.

I don't want to spoil the movie for you so I'm not going to reveal too much even though I'm dying to tell you all about it! One of my favorite things in the movie is that Pepper finally gets to kick some butt, literally! A few surprising things happy to Pepper (no I'm not going to tell you - insert evil laugh) but I will let you know that Ms. Potts also gets to suit up at least once and I don't mean the pretty white suit she's wearing below with Guy Pearce who also stars in this movie 🙂

Speaking of Guy Pearce whose character Killian goes from geeky awkward to suave and swoon worthy, he's perfect for his role in this movie but don't let him fool you he's going to throw you a surprise or two. Okay I will tell you one more (hmm maybe two) of my favorite parts of this movie it's when Tony loses everything well almost everything and has to go on the run. Tony is not always arrogant & self-confident, in fact he now has some anxiety, he doesn't have all his money, he doesn't have all his toys and gadgets to help him so he has to get down to basics. He has to MacGyver his way through a few things which is a ton of fun to watch especially his interaction with a young boy he befriends and harasses all at the same time, with the charming dry wit that only Tony Stark can pull off.

A nice little surprise for me was Ben Kingsley's character "The Mandarin" he does a stupendous job with the character and totally surprises you, look for that you'll love it. Hubby loved the special effects, the cool new Iron Man suit, oh did I forget to mention the new suit? Yes a new suit that has a very cool feature that comes in quite handy a few times for Tony & Pepper. What is it you ask well oops sorry no can do gotta save that surprise for you and yes I am totally evil for building that up and not telling 🙂 however if you watched the teasers you might be able to figure it out muahahaha.

Above is a picture of Don Cheadle's character (or is it him? hmm) in the Iron Patriot Suit. I know I didn't mention this one yet and NO it's not the new suit I'm talking about earlier. I told you this movie is action packed and there is no way I can fit it all in post :). Just wanted you to have a sneak peek at yet another cool thing from the Iron Man 3D movie.

If you're a Marvel comics fan, Iron Man fan or even if you're a newbie to it all I think you will like this movie. If you haven't watched any of the Iron Man movies what are you waiting for? They are always full of action mixed with some funny lines so that overall it's an entertaining experience. It's one movie hubby and I both are thrilled that we watched it on the big screen as it was fun to watch and we both agree it's a great family movie (for kids 10 & up) that we don't think will disappoint entertaining you.

If you can't get to this movie right away you can catch another sneak peek HERE! Who are some of your favorite Marvel super heroes? Feel free to share we love comments.

  8. Not loving Gwenyth's hair in the poster. Also, it really stinks that they are doing so many 3D movies, you can tell they were meant to be 3D in the regular ones. 🙁
